    warning : Goalwin doesn't return funds to former customers

    Hi. It seems to me i'm the victim of a scam by bookmaker Goalwin and i would like to know if there are other customers who experience the same situation as me on forum SBR:

    I've been betting for a few months on bookmaker Goalwin but about 10 days ago, when i tried to login, a message told me account was closed and i had to contact customer service. I did, and Goalwin explained me that due to new legislation in my country they couldn't accept customers from my country anymore (i precise that before registering i had asked them if they accepted customers from my country and they answered me yes, no problem - i keep their email). No problem, i can understand that they have to obey to country legislation. But i was surprised that they didn't send me an email to inform me of the situation (if i hadn't contact them, they never would have inform me!) and that they didn't immediately fund my moneybookers account with my remaining balance on Goalwin. I had already made payout via Moneybookers on goalwin and it took about 3 days, but there, after about 10 days money hasn't been returned yet... Everytime i contact them by email they tell me the same thing:
    "I have asked for a settlement of any outstanding bets from our betting provider and as soon as possible will we fund your Moneybookers account with your outstanding balance on Goalwin.com."
    And every time i tell them that i have no pending bet so why such a long time to be paid ???
    In fact, i fear they try to confiscate/keep money from former customers as me... I'll immediately post a complaint , but i'd like to know if other members of forum share the same experience ? (Goalwin isn't a "big" bookmaker and i suppose there mustn't be many customers here on SBR, but one never knows..)

    Thanks for sharing.

    Goalwin's sportsbook is licensed by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta. We usually consider something a slow-pay after two weeks, but you can write to SBR. If we can't get anywhere, the next step is to contact the LGA.

    I believe they will pay.If they wanted to steal your money they would approach you with some other story.Just relax and wait.

    I think you should just be a little more patient.

    As this withdrawal amounts to an account closure they need to confirm that you have no pending bets. That wouldn't have been the case for previous withdrawals.

    It seems their procedure must involve more than just looking at your account as you do.

    wow, you really compared Pinnacle and Goalwin???

    Just relax, Goalwin is small book,they like to drag out, but you have clear case, your account is closed because of laws, but they dont have any reason to confiscate your balance.

    Don't worry Tristan I use Goalwin 2 years i think,they are very slow but fair.I await now one withdrawal from them more than 7 day, tomorrow or Monday money will arrive I hope,that is normal time

    Hareeba! please explain me what other procedure could there be for checking if someone has pending bets? It is one minute job.That was just lame excuse for slow payment...

    Yes, seljak. They usually have slow withdrawals even to MB, 4-5 days.

    Hello ! I'm in the same situation as you tristan , and i'm released i'm not the only one ! I live in France too, registered on Goalwin because when i asked the question they answered me i could use Sportsbook without any problem (only poker was forbidden due to french legislation according to what they wrote me). Now they closed my account (for the same reason as you, french new law), and when i asked for my remaining balance, they first answered me the same thing as you :

    "We are very sorry to inform you that French account holders are no longer allowed to use the services on Goalwin.com due to French legislations.
    I have asked for a settlement of any outstanding bets from our betting provider and as soon as possible will we fund your Moneybookers account with your outstanding balance on Goalwin.com."

    But as payment seemed to be quite long i insisted and then they precised me that, which you seem to ignore:

    "Arjel ordered us to immediatly inactivate all French accounts, which we did. We are still waiting for an update from them on how to process the payments back to you. Until we receive any feedback from Arjel can we not release any funds, so please forward your complaints to them."

    For those who would ignore it , Arjel is the french organisation charged to regulate gambling by according or not licences to bookmakers... In reality they're mainly there to be sure foreign bookmakers who want to have french licence will pay important taxes...
    So to sum up, Goalwin says they can't return me funds without Arjel decision ???? It's not the first time a book has to close my account due to french new law , i experienced the same with many others, but every time they immediately paid me after the closure of my account ! So why would it be different for Goalwin ???Why should they wait for the Arjel decision on how to pay us?? There'sz something that isn't clear...

    By the way i contacted Arjel by phone, they told me to write them an email to sum up the situation with complete details of my account. I need to know the very exact amount on my account as well as my date of registration on Goalwin. I contacted Goalwin to have these informations (because i can't login anymore) telling them Arjel asked me these informations, but i'm still waiting for their answer... They don't seem to want to cooperate....
    I think i will post complaint on SBR as you did . Did you have news from SBR ?

    But goalwin is not on list,they even don't know for them
    Just sportingbet is shutdown for us for now,but my question is what is with online betting in Germany?So German's friend can you betting without fear?

    Does anyone know if Goalwin customer service works on week-end? Since login is impossible for me now i asked them to email me the list of my 5 last bets (because i don't really agree with the amount they tell me that is supposed to be remaining in my balance) but i had no answer ? They may only work from monday to friday?

    ANd don't they work on monday too? I was expecting to have an answer today with the historic of my last bets, but nothing...And no news from my payment (i mean money remaining on my account after its closure due to new legislation)...

    I've been waiting for my money for more than one month now... Goalwin hasn't replied to SBR yet... Goalwin isn't rated on the forum for the moment. Couldn't SBR rate them (with a very bad rate of course) to inform customers? Or wouldn't it be possible to "blacklist" them ? because that's the first time i know a bookmaker that keeps money from its customers once their account has to be closed due to change in local legislation..

    yep i won some small change from casino promotion, you have to wait 1 week or more for a payout to MB. I guess for large amounts the wait is longer.

    No the problem is different for me Virtozo: Goalwin had to close my account coz unfortunately they couldn't accept anymore customers from my country. No problem, i can understand that. But what i can't understand is they refuse to refund my moneybookers account with my remaining money ! Gang of thieves ! So imagine: if one day legislation changed in your country , Goalwin would keep your money !

    They put me on 5% as fees on every deposits and withdrawals (i use only MB). also to you?
    it would be good book for surebets , but the max stake is 100 euros.
    they pay very slowly, but they always paid me.
