Saw Hawleys thread last night right after he posted it. Parker and Duncan out. Used oddscheker to see if any of the UK books hadn't moved their lines. Most had or had the game suspended whilst they did.

I saw one that didn't. Quickly made an account and took Portland -2 1st half and -4.5 for the game for the max. It was only about $1050 in total when converted to dollars but part of me almost feels bad over it!

I gave $35 to charity last night and might give another $35 today to offest the guilt.

On the other hand the books are scum and lure people in with their online casinos and games which are rigged to steal players hard earned $.

Yeah, luckily I use about 8 books (bet 365, willhill, Ladbrokes etc) as the UK doesn't have the restrections the US players seem to have. I can deposit money in and out of my betting accounts instantly using my DC. In reality I will probably never need to use this book again.

No in this situation I dont think you should feel bad.

If the line was an obvious mistake and you knew that and took a shot, then it would be a different story - but in this case where the line was correct initially and they just hadnt reacted quickly enough to the injury news, then I have no sympathy for the book - if they dont want to get caught out on injury news like this then hire someone to monitor the lines better overnight.

However, at the same time, dont be surprised (or complain) if you find your account there limited or even closed entirely (depending on what book it was) but in this case the book would have no right to try to screw you by calling "bad line" on this one so should pay you up in full !

Why would you feel bad. That's called skills... its hard enough to beat these books. If they made a mistake and you were sharp enough and ballsy enough to pull the trigger then you deserved to win that money.

No injuries here. This is just a case of Popovich resting his stars and one of the main reasons I don't like betting on basketball. It's too unpredictable. The individual games don't carry the same weight as, say, the NFL games. So from time to time, coaches can pull this $hit.
