How many Canadians here use Pro-Line to gamble? All you do is go to your convenience store, make bets, and if you win they cash your ticket just like lottery.

    It would be enormous.

But fukk it, it would make the lines in convenience stores way too long. I already can't stand getting stuck behind retards at the books themselves, I don't want them holding up my gas and Slurpee too.

We're 15 years away from being like London, with betting shops outnumbering convenience stores. Think about it, it's harder and harder for a brick-n-mortar store to pay for their overhead, if they won't allow online shops, we're getting closer every day.

Proline in Canada is for suckers.

Minimum is 3 team parlay and pretty much 40 cent lines.

lol I used to play that when I was 18...like above, the lines are abysmal and not to mention their stupid tie rules throughout the years. These days I play the Pro Pools maybe 10 football weeks total.

    For sure.

you just fill out your ticket in a separate area and then pass it to clerk.

doesnt slow down the line very much unless some idiot has 30 tickets.

it was fun when I was a kid.

    risk $5 to win 50 on a 5 teamer.

Proline is bad, I think out west is better bit it still sucks. HOwever there are angles. Since they release lines 2 days in advance there can be soft lines. Sometimes when they post playoff series lines for say a game 7 and the series ends game 6, you can pound any weak line you can find and pair it with the to be voided game 7 which reduces the ticket to a 1 teamer. I heard stories about guys running 10k through corner stores doing this.

Because of the advanced odds it is beatable. Does not matter if you have to make 3-6 team parlays, if the lines are far enough off a parlay can still be profitable.

They had it in Oregon through the lottery for NFL only till they stopped it after the lottery buckled to the NCAA just so they could have tournament games every few years. Bars were packed Sunday mornings with people but not anymore, bar owners were pissed when they stopped it since they lost all that business.

It was very beatable if you picked your spots, lines came out Tuesday mornings and they couldn't take games off once they started taking action. You could find sides/totals off 1-1½ points sometimes and with all games using ½ points you could find some deals with any game involving 3.

3 & 4 team parlays had set odds while 5 teamers and up were paid out depending on number of winning tickets and amount bet into the pool for each parlay pool exactly like pari mutual betting, generally when favorites hit the payouts were a joke but when dogs covered you would see huge overlays.

People loved it and were not happy when when it was stopped.

I live in Winnipeg so we have it. The takeout is really high, but the fact the lines are so far ahead means the potential is there to spot a bad line. The problem with that though is the forced parlay, there might not be 2 other soft lines like that to pair it up with.

I do check them during football season, but probably only did one ticket with them last year.

I don't want to forced into picking more games than I want to. It's hard enough picking one game most sessions.
