I just got cold called from 1855 489 2274. A fast talking person saying they were from 5dimes in Costa Rica told me all about the wonderful betting opportunities on the Super Bowl. He used my full name. I was half listening when he said that I had not deposited there in a while. Alarm Bells went off as I loaded the other day.
this isnt uncommon.. he is probably a middle man looking to refer a player in.. he can get credit at books for loading u as a player under him, just like sbr does with banners, he is doing with cold calling sheets.. is it shady.. yes.. but its not irregular.
in either case we trust sbr so we give them our sportsbook info/acct #..and we appreciate all that the pro program is about so we sign up through the banners...., but trusting some joe shmo cold calling, yea I wouldnt either.
I got called from the same number (I didn't answer) the next day after I opened an account at wegerweb without depositing. Strange thing though is that my mail account has been accessed from a strange ip (untraceable). I don't know for sure if it has to do with the wagerweb account opening or with the suspicious login to my mail account but from what I read about this phone number on the net it seems he claims to be from different bookmakers and he hacks email accounts too.
Too bad for him that I am a poor schmuck with only 50euros to gamble.
