    JustBet owes me money

I sent this to SBR Complaint Form... but also feel you guys should know what you are dealing with in Just Bet:

This is a very complicated dispute so it will take some time to write.

Between Febuary and March of 2010... I made several deposits at JustBet using my CC at the time. The first 4 went through no problem and I thought it was okay, but they just charged my card for a 5th time. It was a duplicate transaction and therefore my bank automatically cancels the transaction. This was THERE fault.. not mine.

Well, I didnt try to sign on again because I didn't like the book at all. Fast forward a year later, and I started getting threatening phone calls from Scott Carter. He is a manager at JustBet.

He continually called over and over again accusing me of a **********. I told him that I never charged back a deposit and never would. I told him I wouldn't pay. He even tried to say he would give me $100 if I send him $200 to a name in Vietnam using **. Very shad y tactics... but I told him I didn't do anything wrong so I couldn't and wouldn't send him a dime.

He became OBSESSED with this.... It wasn't just obsessed but he was calling me up to 30 times per day. One day in March he even went as far as leaving me a voicemail with the sound of gunshots.

He "exposed" me on covers and made me look like I was a thief and called me out that I charged back. They banned me on covers because of it... not that I care... but again, it made me look like a fraud.

Well... he continued to call me every single day. He left me voicemails... he called me thousands of times.... and it got to the point where I had to buy Call Blockers for all 3 phones that I had.

The Call Blocker cost me the following:

$5.99 for 3 phones... $17.97 per month... for 4 months. That is $71.88.

On top of this... he got a hold of a family member of mine. He phone the number of an old addr ess that I lived in and called that house leaving threatening voicemails about a "gambling debt". I had to change that number and the phone company charged us $29.99.

I am owed $100.87 from JustBet.

I also want to say that I proved in my last email to Scott that it was indeed a processor at fault. The case was closed and it was proven to be a mistake on there part and not mine. Scott never even apologized, he just said "that he was doing his job".

Nathan gave me a $100 freeplay in June.. but this was due to the Losses Rebate that I was supposed to get in 2010 that I couldn't because of Scott.

I do feel like I am owed the $100 cash and will go as far as I can to get it. Why should I have to pay for a mistake that THEY made? I shouldn't have to pay this out of my own pocket.

Theres more to the story but I don't think its even needed at this point. I can show proof of the constant phone calls on my phone...

Please take care of this.... I am going to make a post about this on the forum too.

    Thank you

    - Richard

    Hey Richard,

It sounds like you did owe them money albeit due to bank error. How come the two parties weren't able to figure that out?

I didn't owe them money... they charged my account twice, and they only credited my account once. So how would I owe them money?

They were too quick to threaten me on the phone then discuss it. I told them all along what happened, and Scott continually ignored me.

Ah ok, I understand what you're saying but not sure why you are asking for money. Looking back at your Justbet posts you were talking to Justbet in the forum after the time of the charge but didn't bring it up. This is something that would have taken a few minutes to sort had it been mentioned then or to SBR. Then a few mos later it looks like you asked Justbet for the bonus as a resolution, got it with no rollover, and said thank you and how you appreciated it. That was about 5 months ago. My suggestion is to go back to Nathan if you'd like to ask for something else instead of declaring they have funds that are yours.

JustBet owes you nothing, I can't believe you made a thread about this.
Personally you could have figured this out a long time ago with the book.

Scott was just doing his job trying to collect a debt, and you prob. jumped on the defense right away by being rude and ignorant. Next time just act like a adult and resolve the issue.

I just don't get it, that's why we in the U.S. lose good books, because dumb ignorant people hassle about dumb shit that could be worked out by showing some mutual respect. Look at all the unnecessary threads on 5dimes. Look at how people start Chats to get 5dimes management pissed of and then post them on here like a joke.

Books deal with our Government trying to stop them, they deal with rouge processors that just take money and run, and then if that's not enough, they deal with U.S. clients acting ignorant & being retarded. No wonder why they say forget it, the U.S. is a head case, we are out.

OP the title of your thread was 100% misleading, they stole nothing from you. Go man up pay for your own phones you moook & stop making pointless threads.

who the hell does justbet think they are. calling up that many times and calling would be relatives is a joke. it is noone's job to be that much of an ass. big deal. justbet thought(thought and was wrong) they got ripped off a couple bucks. and this is the way they handle it. then when they finally get it figured out, the player gets a lousy $100 freeplay, big deal, how about cash, at least as much as you were accusing him of stealing in a public forum..glad i don't play there anymore. in fact i also get too many calls from them now. keep telling them i'm not interested in playing there, but they don't listen. i can only imagine how annoying it is to get multiple daily calls. justbet=now=justsucks.

Maybe I am being irrational... but you can ask anyone about me whos dealt with me... ive never ****** anyone over. I'm not gonna risk my whole reputation on a 200 dollar deposit.

I wish Scott would have apologized... would it have been too much to ask? He harrassed me for 4 months straight.

The only reason I broughht it up again was cause I was out of the country from July-September... come home in october and start getting calls everyday from Just Bet like the shit never happened. It was a slap in the face and a huge insult.... They harrass me over something I don't do then actually have the balls to call me a couple months later trying to get me to deposit?

A public apology from Scott.. not only to me, but to my family who thought there was a damn bookie after me over a gambling debt. Try explaining that to your family.... "I made 6 figures at my job but can't pay 200 to a bookie"... You guys would see why this was so embarassing and unnecessary.

They fall under pretty strict laws for the amount of calls and what they can say and can and have been fined a lot of money for violating this act.. thats the difference.

Worse than leaving voicemails with gunshots and calling family members to harass them about the debt?

That may fly in other countries or states but I know in my state (California) that type of shit doesn't fly and can get the collections agent in some serious trouble

kind of has a stink to it that justbet seems to be getting a pass by SBR for this kind of behavior. i have never faulted SBR on anything before this. bill alone has saved my ass a couple times. so i like coming here to pay back SBR and the moderators for everything they have done for me by posting like everyone else. so i don't like to knock them. but this seems insane to be treated by a sportsbook like that for a couple hundred bucks. even if he had done something unethical.

Yea gunshots probably cross the legal line but collectors will absolutely call your work, have you paged, hang up, and do it again in the AM. They'll call every address with your last name and leave messages... anything not against the law in that state.

    relaaxx,
Did you read the whole thread? Yea, Justbet messed up and it's a story worth sharing as it was when it happened... but he asked for what he wanted, got it, and now id back 5 months later asking for more. Not to mention, the mgr invited him to let him know if there was anything else he could do but instead he starts a no-pay thread because he bought phone equipment he wants them to pick up the tab for.

He's trying to use SBR to leverage a book to pay his phone bill. This is the kind of stuff that makes books sour on forums. They take their lumps and then take em again. If we mediated like this, books wouldn't talk to us the next time Richard George was in a legit jam. I think he realizes this wasn't the best route to get $100 bucks from Justbet. No real harm done as he didn't want to be their customer anyway.

bill as always i would trust your judgement over mine. i am only talking about all the calls, guns fired in the background on a recording, calling an old number to hopefully talk to a relative and get them involved. all of that is unexceptable behavior, always, under any circumstances. so again i will trust your judgement on the fairness of the outcome agreed on by both partys, but the other stuff, if it is true. and noone is saying it's not, is enough for me to think they are a shit book, now. a new book with no reputation or an old book with a great reputation for paying people makes no difference, to me anyways. you just should not get away with harrassing people like that. can't leave the post without thanking you again for the help i recieved in the past.

This is not the first thread I have read about Scott pulling this kind of crap. It is absolutely OK to call if the player owes you money but I think the amount of calls and the threats are a bit much. I myself would have paid some third world thug who has nothing to lose a grand to rough Scott's ass up and make him think twice about threats. Funny that the player didnt even owe the money. Scott didnt even do his homework before being an idiot. I wouldnt play with a book that pulls this type of crap no matter why they did it. Good job JustBet. Just one of many reasons I tell your sales people to buzz off on a weekly basis.

It was the same as here.

Remember the thread on Covers promoting JustBet... where Covers Lou talks about how he visited Just Bet, and blah blah blah?

Well... Scott Carter posted in that thread trying to act like he was a player for the book. So I exposed them there, and then they called me out for a reverse charge and banned me...

Of Course, Just Bet ended up saying Scott DOES play for the book... which IS a violation of the books rules BTW. No employees are supposed to play with the book that they work with... I'm pretty sure thats a rule for ALL Costa Rican books.

SO the thread got deleted cause Just Bet pays Covers, much like they pay SBR.

If it was a book like Oddsmaker who was calling me, threatening me... best believe SBR would have a different response... but thats not here, nor there.

I was out of the country for several months..... and then I get calls from Just Bet trying to get me to deposit when no one was supposed to call me.... so thats why I brought this whole topic up.

Don't even give me that shit.

I got what I asked for... under the assumption that I never hear from them again.

They called and started harrassing me to deposit everyday again... THATS why I brought this up.

Should I have to pay out of my own pocket for there fuckup, Bill? Its a reasonable question.... I had to pay for phone equipment BECAUSE OF THERE FUCKUP... NOT MINE. How is it my fault? any of this?

All I asked for is a public apology from Just Bet.

    What does Nathan say?

    "I Forwarded this to Scott.

I believe MY PART really has no involvement here, since as you stated in your last reply what you are looking
for mainly is a public apology from Scott."

But of course.. I have yet to hear ANYTHING from Scott.

There, doesn't it feel good this is finally now resolved.
