Synbet confiscated $2000 from me, and will from you as well

Here's the scoop on this book, so if you make a wager more than $500 it's actually not even officially counted as an accepted wager in their system, they manually review it afterwards and can void the win at any time. The first time I wagered $800 and won they refunded me my bet, and I had to livechat in with them regarding this and they told me my wager has to be accepted by management, which they eventually did. I was put off by this, but thought that they are a legit book and wouldn't actually cheat me next time. Well, that real situation happened yesterday.

At 6:57EST I placed a $1999.99 wager into their system on the Red wings, which had a status of "awaiting". Knowing these are reviewed, I went to chat immediately to verify that the wager would be accepted. However, they waited 5 minutes until the game started and at that point told me "your wager unforunately was not accepted by our bookmakers, the game has already started." At this point, my bet showed a status of VOID and refund under the profit tab, and my account was at its original balance. The game lost, and my balance was still at its original level.

Today I checked my account, and lo and behold, whoever was in management reviewing accounts at the end of the day decided to go back and undo the void, and my wager was counted as LOST. So we all realize at this point, that if I won the wager it would never have counted because it was voided as being too late to be reviewed, and if I lost the bet someone would go back and undo the void, and grade it as a loss.

I've never had this happen to me in my entire life with any prior books, I decided to give these guys a try because of the large number of alternative lines they offer. And all they do in the end is "review your wager" after the fact, and can void a win at their discretion or even go back and void an already voided wager. I guess this part of their first rule means they can rip off their customers at any time.

    1. All rules, regulations, and payoffs hitherto for are prone to revision, by SynBet.com without prior written notice to SynBet members.

Futures visitors to this site or it's sister site pulsebet, exercise caution because your money is already their money.

Do you have a copy of the chat where they said it was rejected?

File a complaint, we'll investigate it.

unfortunately I closed the box on the $1999.99 bet conversation, believing that this wouldn't happen. I did however copy the first chat dialog I had after my $819 bet was refunded and I had to ask them to grade it as a win. I can provide that when I get back from my trip.

A complaint has been filed. I also tried to talk to them on the phone about this, and the man said he'll speak with management about it.

Does your account history show the bet as being rejected then re-entered as accepted?

Purely out of curiosity, why $1,999.99 rather than $2,000?

It does not show it anymore. here's a link to what it shows now.

    http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/853/synd.png/

yesterday the first line looks exactly the same as the 4th line with the $819 bet that I won, voided. Now they changed it to lost.

I did 1999.00 (no 99 cents actually, sorry) because they told me the maximum betting threshold is 2000, and the threshold for post bet manager review is 500. I thought if I did 2000 on the dot they system wouldn't accept it so i just did a dollar less.

Pity you didn't take a screenshot of that. But yes, why would you at that stage?

Seems that the bet has been entered either 18 hours later or 6 hours earlier than you say you placed it? Is that time before or after the game?

I'm pretty sure those are different times zones stamped on, and they are 6 hours later. I placed my vikings bet on the 16th of october at 5:57EST on sunday before kickoff and it says 11:57EST on there, so I think the timestamps reflect 6 hours later than eastern. I don't think the time reflects when a manager makes an adjustment to the graded outcome.

Again, this book, like 5dimes, has seen many complaints posted at many different sites regarding this very problem. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done.

It's a shame so many popular posters, many of them friends of mine, sent this operation money.

Hope they get what is due them.

They should be requesting their money now so at least they are near the top of the list for payouts and at least improve their chances of being paid.

A shame. Its painful watching TheRx, once a respected leader, push their long time followers into these garage run operations. It's hard to even keep up with them all. They have Lazerwager and Easystreet stiffing and now Synbet and Pulsebet. Reminds me of TOW.

LOL, i just spoke with one of their managers, and from reading the red part i highlighted below, he clearly had a copy of my original chat transcript where my wager was voided, sitting in front of him. It's pretty clear from this even without the original transcript that my wager was NOT approved even when the game started (what bookie reviews wagers after a game starts?). They made the decision to void it AFTER it started even though my wager was entered in 8 minutes before the game. As for the bookmaking management career of whoever was behind the fake name "Michael", he's going to wish he never let this critical fact in the investigation slip. Also, it is now apparently "blackmailing" to report a book for confiscating funds of players, who taught this moron in costa rica how to speak English? They must give these monkey brained managers an elementary level dictionary of words they should use to counter accuse their own clients who deposited money with them. I'm going to step out of the way and let the investigation resolve itself. Now lets see what kind of altered chat transcript they'll send over to SBR saying that my wager was actually accepted and not voided. Misrepresenting the facts won't get you anywhere Synbet, just a welcome greeting to a list of bankrupt books now out of operation.

George: Hello, thank you for contacting SynBet.com. How may I help you?
    Me: account name ---------
Me: I'm looking to speak with a manager.
George: In order to get in contact with a member of our management please write an email.
Me: sir your entire book's fraudulent operations have been published by me online. it would be in the best interest of your management to represent themselves at this time, in order to preserve it's reputation in the industry. The information I have provided will soon be the second google result for "synbet" when anyone searches for your website.
Me: see here if you need more information:
    Me: http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/sportsbook...-you-well.html
Me: I will also be making my case to your biggest marketing affiliate, ------. Again, if you choose not to have a representative speak to me directly, then that is your choice.
    George: Wait a minute, please.
Operator Michael has joined the chat.
    Michael: Hello sir
    Me: Hello sir
Michael: my name is MIchael and I am a supervisor at SynBet.com
Michael: as you requested your bet was approved and after that lost
Michael: I do not see what the situation is
Me: Sir your bookmaker told me my bet was voided
Michael: you already sent complaint to SBR
Me: sir your bookmaker told me that the was voided because i requested it too late
Michael: so I don't see why are you threathing us and trying to black mail us
Me: sir your bookmaker voided my bet
Me: I was refunded the full $1999
Me: and later your management readjusted the wager
Michael: the bet was approved before the start of the game
    Me: no it wasn't
Me: it was in awaiting status, just like any other bet for over $500
Michael: as from what I see you wanted it to be approved even after the start of the game

oops, you probably shouldn't have said that
    Michael: so as I said
Me: and your chat representative told me he had to go talk to a bookmaker to approve the bet
    Michael: you complained to SBR
Me: the bet was not approved
Michael: now they will investigate and say who is right
Me: sir don't speak to me like I'm a child
    Michael: until then
    Me: we're both adults
    Me: it doesn't matter sir
Michael: there is nothing more I can do for you
Michael: as you have placed your bet and lost
Me: haha no i never placed my bet sir
    Me: you voided my bet
Me: if i won i wouldn't have had that wager graded
    Me: check your chat transcripts
Me: I spoke, your own representative said to me "your wager was unforautntely graded too late"
Me: sir you are welcome to go back and delete history of the wager in your database all you want
Me: you will lose hundreds of thousands of dollars of potential revenue from future lost customers, marketing with current affiliates like RX, and any future partnerships will never happen for you
Me: i'm sorry sir, for $2000 that you would go through this much trouble
Me: I placed a bet on the fact that you would be a trustworthy book, and I lost.
Me: You placed a bet that I would lose my money and quietly go away and not hurt your reputation in the industry, and you lost as well.
Me: We both came away losers in the end sir. Goodbye.
Operator George has left the chat.
Operator Michael has left the chat.
    The chat is ended.

    similar to me with Pulsebet
i posted in an other thread:

"they void this bet after match start
    Oct 26, 11 at 00:07 Atletico Rafaela v Argentinos Jrs Atletico Rafaela €300.00 2.15 REFUND €300.00
this is a valid bet in other bookmaker
    TICKET: 0x000243c5 - 10/25/2011 11:49:13 PM
Atletico De Rafaela - Argentinos Jrs10/26/2011 12:10:00 AM
    Primera DivisionOdds: 2.20

so they void a bet with less odds because odds was wrong! They are patetic, they want only fraud people
now i made a complain but i suppose nothing to do."

im waiting the payout of my initial deposit from 4 days. Yesterday i chat with supervisor Micheal and told me that their all payout request5 are frozen because they having problems with their payout system.... i only hope that, after void bet, they correctly pay... i also made a complaint to sbr and answered that will investigate.
i need to know from you: they will pay?! someone recived a payout from them?
    what a scam bookmaker!!!

SynBet.com takes measures to ensure that we, and you the member, comply with all applicable laws in your country and in Costa Rica. It is important that you review the following additions to our Terms and Conditions.
1.4 The Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and regulations of Costa Rica and you submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Costa Rica.
2.7 If your registration is terminated or suspended, we reserve the right to determine whether to declare as void any wagers placed by you subject to any review by the authorities in Costa Rica.
An eastern european company that has a UK office and falls under costa rican jurisdiction... fascinating.
There's a few more sites hosted on that ip. What looks like a scam casino, a shell company, and some euro gibberish.
