Bar, Poker Game, Church, Local High School. All good places to look for a local.

Get to your local watering hole early. Look around at the folks there and you can usually point out who is the book.

        I'll look into this.

When I go watch a game or boxing match I see a shit ton of people talk about their bets and of course I chat with them too, but I never know how to ask about a local without giving off a weird/cop vibe.

It's best to go through a friend that gambles

Or of course if you're frequent visitor to casino or sports bar

You need to find a reputable one so you have to do your research

If you have friends that gamble too, you shouldn't have a hard time finding one unless your trying to infiltrate one and bust them. After spending 8 years online, I think the Local book is the best way to go. I went with my co-worker who does the running for them.

my bookie I offered and flat out told him I don't wanna bet on credit here's the cash I wanna post up. I don't want a credit account. looked at me like a was crazy no you just pay when you lose, settle up up weekly. bookies are sinister batards because allowing credit blindly is hoping for losers, and shake'em down for whatever you can.

Be careful with bookies. I got shafted outta 40 g from a bookie. Best run of my life and never got paid. I can understand being limited because you're winning but guy kept taking my action assuming I would blow it all and I didn't.

Try fairlinesonline.....best of both worlds. Great set up.

This is why you need multiple outs. Whatever your threshhold is you need to spread your action out. You never want all your eggs in one basket, no matter how sturdy said basket appears to be.

very well said Downsouth.. but I can not afford to put eggs in multiple baskets. And I find that basket that gives me the eggs I deserve on time. I am going to continue going to that basket till there is a problem. JMHO

Ask your friends who have been using the same bookie for years. Those are the books who will stick around for you, win or lose.

Along the lines of why are people looking for a book in the 12th week of the season. I got a few friends that book games and generally if someone is looking this time of year it is because they have lost and stiffed the previous guy who was taking there action. Or they currently still owe him and cannot play with guy any longer so its time to get a new one.
