Bodog slow paying and bouncing again

Be careful with Bodog...lots of stories recently with bounced checks. Personally, I have been waiting 2 weeks for a payout. I called to inquire after I was told it would be 7 days from my approval date, only to be told that it is now 7 days from the last payout I requested. The time before, I called and was told there were 3 "international holidays" and this is why its delayed and was promised a tracking number yesterday, which of course I never received.

Just warning those expecting a check...tread lightly here....better books out there and Bodog is leaving the US market by the end of year.

Sorry to hear that Bodog is currently have processing issues. I'm sure it's just a minor issue that snowballed a bit causing your delay. If your payment doesn't arrive by next week please fill free to fill out a complaint form and one of us will inquire to them on your behalf in order to find out where the problem might be sir.

Hey calm down they always pay. U will get your $ probably just a processor issue. If they say its cause of the holiday it probably was because i remember having a delay in the past cause of the holiday, i believe it slows it down a few days. 2 weeks to recieve at your door sounds about right nowadays from them, but it gets their. Blame it on the tilt and stars issue used to be like clockwork at your doorstep within 4days. Also they are not leaving the market just changing the name at the end of the year. If u can't wait for 2 weeks to recieve this method i suggest paying for the p2p method which u will get by 2days. Bodog is a good book i like having them as an out and whenever i ask for my $ i really don't care if it takes 2 weeks to get it from them, i know my $ is safe.

Thats the thing, Legions. I've had multiple payouts with Bodog in the past, and I've never had problems like this or delays, as it used to be very fast...even 2-3 days max at one point. I hope they turn it around. I am confident I will get paid...not happy with the change in time though. Just want people to know that the old days of checks coming the same week are long gone. I'm not sure how other books are, and looking into other methods may be best. I live in Las Vegas, and only use Bodog when I leave town on business. I think I will test the waters with a few other books moving forward to compare the payout lengths. I wouldn't be surprised if the industry in general has longer payouts now with the constraints in place.

I'm at Bodog as well, but I've never cashed out. That sucks that it's that slow to cash out now, I've also noticed that they charge 4.9% on CC deposits now which sucks. I'm kind of curious what Americans use now to deposit? I think the other money transfer services like MyPalinQ charge you right when you want to withdrawal?

I've been thinking about moving to a different book like 5dimes, but I just don't know yet. Anybody know what the best way is to fund a 5Dimes account with if you are an American?

Wire them the money. In my opinion, 5 dimes is clearly superior to Bodog. Bodog gives the player no advantages because of late lines, no point buying, games in red boxes that you can not parlay. I used Bodog for about 1 year(Got switched to them when Bowmans transferred my account) until I realized how I stupid I was not to find a more customer friendly book. Bodog may be good to shop lines as a 3rd option, but that's about it.

Bodog BRAND is leaving the US market at the end of the year but the company that owns the bodog.eu software, MMGG, will continue to operate as normal under a new brand name.

    Thanks,
    Becky

It means basically is that Mr.Mohawk will be taking over the day to day operations of Bodog (SBR Rated A) in 2012 for U.S. players. So from a players standpoint it's really just business as usual sir.

Bodog is a brand name- same as "virgin" or "kleenex" or "GM". Yep, players will be redirected to the new brand as of Jan 1, 2012 and the name of the site will be announced by then.

    Thanks!

How bout this to make u guys feel better..They are already running what u bet at in sports, poker, casino, right now- they have been for a while now. So nothing is changing except the name they are the ones that have been paying out and all that other stuff. Supposedly from what i read is that they purchased the rights to the Bodog name until the end of 2011 and now they have to come up with there own name. They have been running everything for a few years now guys, no need to worry same software but i did read that they were coming up with new software in November for poker i believe.

Cmon, Legions, you are the most obvious shill on SBR. At least be mildly subtle about it. To explain in layman's terms what is going on with Bodog is that they want out of the US gaming business at the end of the year. They are leaving. Finito. Gone. All of this rebranding talk is very misleading. Bodog had a contract with MMGG to ensure that Bodog's name would not be tarnished. Bodog oversaw that the business was run in a reputable manner. Bodog is not rebranding. They are leaving. MMGG is calling this rebranding as a marketing tactic because they are no longer able to use the Bodog name to their advantage and they don't have to answer to Bodog about how they run their business. To me, MMGG now has carte blanche to run their operation in any way they want. They are no different than a start up company in my mind. They may choose to leave the US market, they may not. Bodog Becky is here to protect the business until Dec 31, 2011. After that, you will never see her on this forum or any other forum that deals with US customer issues. She AND Bodog will not care what happens to you, your money or the site that was formerly called Bodog after then.

I guess i am a shill if im telling everyone my story at the books that i use or have used in the past, not my fault i use alot of books or try out various ones, call me stupid for this right!! Anyway, if u want to interpret what your saying like that to make u feel better go ahead, but i know what i read about this situation and i know what i got from it. All i know is for the last few years when Bodog sold to the MMGG they have been paying me everytime and i could care less if the name changes cause i know its run by the same people that have been paying me everytime, maybe it takes a few weeks to get but to be honest i don't care as long as my $ gets to me.

Legions, you seem like a nice enough guy. I don't wish any harm on you nor do I wish for you to lose your money in an unfair manner. Whatever shilling you do shouldn't affect me and it shouldn't bother me but somehow it does because I like to hear the truth. It's very possible that MMGG will continue their operations in the same manner that they did when they carried the Bodog banner. I just wanted to make the point that there is a chance that they may run things differently and that Bodog will not really care what happens after the new year. They are painting a pretty face on it not so that customers don't bail before the end of the year.
