GTBets.com to pay VIP Sportsbook, BetGameday, Nine.com players

GTBets.com to pay VIP Sportsbook, BetGameday, Nine.com players

GTBets.com (SBR rating C) tells SBR that they will honor VIP Sportsbook players funds. GTBets.com is a new sportsbook that surfaced when VIP Sportsbook, BetGameday and Nine.com went off-line on August 1st, 2011. GTBets acquired the VIP Sportsbook software, hardware and retained key management. GTBets first came to light when they began spamming marketing offers to former VIP players, which included those account-holders usernames at VIP.

On July 15th, SBR reported that VIP Sportsbook was preparing to cease operations. VIP, BetGameday and Nine.com advised bettors via their homepages to request balances prior to August 1st, 2011. However, more than thirty players failed to see the warning on time and reported not being paid their final balances - worth more than $45,000. SBR continued to report that seasonal sports bettors missed the messages, reporting not being called or emailed with a heads up as to the closure of the Curacao based sportsbook family. A VIP manager claimed on August 16th that players in the attached SBR list would receive payment, but that there was no support or accounting team able to service future player claims.

SBR first spoke with GTBets.com Thursday September 1st. Originally GTBets.com was prepared to offer VIP players a deal that if they made their final payout requests prior to October 1st, 2011, they would receive credits to their GTBets accounts and would be fully able to make withdrawals without playing requirements. After speaking with SBR further, GTBets took the restrictions off the good faith gesture so that all players able to confirm their final VIP balances would be able to be credited.

GTBets.com statement: GTbets.com is a new group that has acquired the software from the VIP.com group which also includes BetGameDay, NINE and VIP. As a result of the closure of the VIP.com group there were a number of customers that had remaining balances in their accounts. In an effort to ensure that all of these customers are accommodated, the GTbets.com group is willing to honor all balances from customers that are able to prove the remaining balance with the VIP.com group. GTbets.com has hired a number of the key employees from the VIP.com group with the intentions of providing the same great customer support, promotions, odds and timely payouts. It is our aim to be a top tier online entertainment destination.
SBR is following up with GTBets.com on whether or not players futures bets from VIP Sportsbook will also be honored. VIP Sportsbook, BetGameday and Nine.com players are urged to contact either SportsbookReview by writing to help@sportsbookreview.com, or contacting GTBets directly to confirm their balances. Player feedback is encouraged.

Calling VIP sports siffs is a bit premature .
VIP Sportsbook used to be one of the best and reputable sportsbooks in the industry .VIP closed the doors and payed everyone who asked for it ! VIP sent out an emails to everyone to cash out by Aug 1 .

No, they didn't. I had a VIP account and only learned about no US deposits on July 4 and the following closure by Aug. 1 by reading it here.

They did not e-mail everyone. I knew there would be seasonal players who would lose funds. VIP should have no problem paying what they owe.

not to mention gtbets is just vip under a new name.. they havent said how they are "covering" balances at all.. cant wait to here about 10-12X rollovers or worse... imo i highly doubt they will let people just withdrawal there, which means VIP stiffed them.. its not rocket science bud.

No question that the same people is behind GTBets . In order to take US costumiers you have to be somewhere else . These guys have a lot of experience and $45 k for them is not even a pocket change .

So i am going to assume no one has been paid here yet, so how the hell is there a C rating? i would love to play at anything associated with VIP, and if they are great, but why give them a C if nothing has been proven yet?

They stayed out of blacklist territory after speaking with us about their company structure, assuring us that all of VIP's unpaid players would be paid without rollovers, and that all players who contacted us have to do is send an email to them. We've observed email chains this week where accommodations have been made in releasing payouts to those players.

We'll be updating our report as players confirm cash in hand from GTBets.com.

Like with all new sportsbooks, you need to use caution. If you try out enough start-up books for bonuses, chances are at least one of them is going to slow-pay or maybe even worse. Ratings are in large part shaped by you guys, we don't have reports of slow/no-pay from the GT camp yet.. but who knows if a chalky football month changes that.

I might suggest to wait and see what happens, and look to a more established sportsbook for serious wagering.

GTBets is still a lot of smoke and mirrors at this point and time, I agree to use caution all the way around.
I have gotten more emails, text messages, and phone conversations from them then I care to admit, all telling me as a former VIP member they are the same. It was not until I actually started to play with them, and requested money today that I realized they were not there yet. Their payout options are few, and take 72 hours+, even though I have emails, text messages, and yesterday morning even a phone conversation saying 24-48 hours. Also, there is no wire, and if Dave(former VIP Manager) texts you that they do have wire live, question it!
It seems they are in total sell/BS mode right now, and though they have dreams and plans to be the good old VIP.com (of the A+ SBR rating), it is not the reality now, and new players coming in should know that! I am not saying they are crooks, I am just saying they are over promising, and not being 100% honest and transparent with their current situation & reality (mainly with payouts). Great looking software and website (VIP.com), and even the same names and voices on the other end (VIP.com), but at this point in time, they are only a new book trying to come up, and have more than a few kinks to work out. All new books need some time, their game plan is to have you believe they bypassed that fact by looking lie VIP.com. I wish them the best, but for now, better safer options to use.

This is the info about p2p as of today per John at GT. 72 hours to process request for both p2p methods, then another 24-48 hrs after that for them to get you the pick up info. (5 days?) I have no doubt they will pay, it is the time frames and available methods that seem to change, it all depends who you talk to. I talked to Bobby and she told me 24-48 hrs for p2p yesterday when I called, but today Bobby told me 72 hrs + ! As I mentioned before, they may look like VIP going in, but when getting something out, they are no where close to VIP(yet), that is illusion that people should be cautious of.

Do they accept canadians? I know VIP/Nine didn't. Also seconding that they need to get moneybookers in their cashier.

I was a bet gameday customer for 11 years. I am dissapointed with the 50% new customer bonus. Vip and gameday used to have a 3 or 4 times rollover dollar for dollar wagered. This one shows bet $10 on sports and get 5 rollover points 8X rollover. Ok i guess I can understand that but if you bet baseball and bet $10 and get ONLY 2 rollover points with a 20X rollover. Are you kidding me? This is not only more difficult to keep track of but if $10 bet on baseball is already only getting you 2 rollover points why have they weighted it further with a 20X rollover. It should be 8X like any sports bet. This is not only confusing but a poor system set up for not really getting to keep or cash your new customer 50% bonus.

    Any opinions??

That was always the vip rollover on the 100% bonus, you always bet 100, and got 50 points towards the rollover.

It was changed for legal reasons due to all the DOJ stuff that's been going on recently in the U.S. would be my guess Mr.Louis.

UPDATE ON PAYOUTS FROM GTBets 9/12/11

** Their p2p payouts are now "NOT" up and running since they are waiting for a new processor, no time frame was given, I was just told to check back later this week. I requested 2 payouts on Friday, and they still have not been processed.
** There is still no wire option
** Check by express mail takes 10 days + (why a check coming express mail takes 10 days + is beyond me)

    This is the reply I got from GT Bets this morning;

"Unfortunately we do not have wire as a withdrawal option availbale as yet. We are currently working on this option.

We are sorry to inform you that we are waiting for the final settlement for a new processor to send ** and ** withdrawals.
However, this is will take some more time to finalize.

    You have two options:

    · We can send you a check by courier, which will be delivered within 10 days by FedEx.
    · You can wait until we have the processor fully settled to process your **/ Monetgram.

We apologize for the delay or any inconvenience.

Please feel free to reply to this email with any further question.

    Kind regards,

    Kelly
    Support Team"

This is pretty frustrating, they contacted me off the hook to come play with them this past month, we are talking about emails, phone calls, and text messages...but they are not even close to being fully operational when it comes to payouts. They have no problem taking your money though, no issues there. Just sucks! Players beware!

This is exactly how July started for VIP, they lost their processors, and then finally closed at months end with people still looking for their money. Now, after GTBets has made every effort to come across as VIP, they lose their processors and have no info on when they will be back up. (like VIP in July) Can this be happening again?

I hope that GT can fix there problems, because if they are anything in the mold of VIP I will be happy to deposit there, but they have to show payouts, and good cs before I do.
