Most blackmail freeplays come with at least a 8x rollover.

jj... if you can get me paid for this bet at Rebate Wager I'll give you 100 betpoints:

    Internet / -1 Ticket #: 184851
    Jul 30 08:35 PM

    MLB
    STRAIGHT BET
    [913] COL ROCKIES o6EV
    ( U JIMENEZ -R / A HARANG -R )

    183 / 183

    0
    NO BET
    N/A PITCHER
    07/30/2011 07:44 PM

Both Jimenez and Harang pitched by the way. The final score was Rockies 10 Padres 6. I filed a complaint at SBR. It's been over a week and I have to yet hear anything since the initial email.

Not a mistake. Apparently after I made my bet Jimenez was replaced for Rogers. However, before the game started Rogers was replaced back with Jimenez. Jimenez and Harang both started. Rebate Wager told me that that's the reason my bet was graded as No Action. That seems like BS to me. If the Pitchers in my wager both started I think the bet should stand.

About half of players tend to feel that way, usually ones that didn't re-bet in time that would have won instead of lost.

Ultimately the best policy would be to do what Pinnacle does, wait until the first pitch is thrown to apply any refunds so that in the event of any 'double switches' where the listed pitchers ultimately end up starting, nobody gets upset. I don't think you have an argument to be credited winnings after the fact, but I know RW is open to discussing their policy to ensure there's less confusion going forward.

    the bet should stand.

you do not cancel wagers until the game starts.

    unless the game is PPD

Fair enough, I'll just make less bets and RebateWager and more bets at places like JustBet. Look at this... this is the same exact game.

    Jon,

Anyway you look at this someones not going to be happy. Our policy is to cancel bets when we get pitching changes to free up cash for our customers. How would you feel if you only had 2k in your account, bet it all on a pitcher, your pitcher gets scratched but your funds are tied up. We usually leave the responsibility of checking bets to our players. If you honestly think that this isn't a reasonable practice feel free to contact David and we will be glad to credit your account for the win.

I understand. I didn't realize the bet was cancelled immediately. I am not in favor of this practice but if a bet IS cancelled immediately then I realize that there is nothing that the book can do after that.

Just out of curiosity... why do some books do it one way and other books do it another? I would think something like this would be universal. Aside from Pinnacle and JustBet... what other books wait until the game actually starts before they decide if your bet is legit or not?

I can't answer that. The situation in that game was very uncommon. Usually when a pitchers is scratched a pitcher is scratched. I think as long as a book is consistent with their policies it's a matter of preference but if SBR or any other know authority would tell me I was wrong I'd be more then willing to chage my policies.

That's a very nice gesture for your clients. But realistically in all essence no one really knows who's going to throw the first pitch? It could be a guy from AAA farm club or the janitor for all we know. If John's ticket says both starting pitches "TO THROW" and both of them started... where is the issue? It's a valid wager. It's common practice. Seems like you guys make up the rules as you go along? Glad I don't deal with you people.

I've been wagering for 12 years of my life... not once have I ran into ANY BOOK who refunded a wager (before a game started) to free up cash flow for a client. You only refund a wager once the game goes PPD just like BigDaddy said up above.

We don't make up any rules as we go along and our rules are clearly stated on our site for all our members to see. This particular situation is clearly addressed in those rules. Gambling has been around a lot longer then 12 years my friend and I know many bookmakers that go by the same rules we do n this one.

Do you now care to address the mass emails you did to get clients to vote for RW in the SBR best books poll? In case you forgot, it's the one where you exposed everyone's email to everyone else who got the email.

To me this shows the mentality of the Book and it's owner. A dumfuk wannabe.
