My experience with BetIslands... Not great...

I've read a lot of positive commentary regarding this book, so I just wanted to share my own personal experience. Sure, it's easy to deposit and the customer service is strong, but over the weekend these guys left a bad taste in my mouth. First, I requested a payout on Sunday and they told me it would be processed on Monday morning. While this is an industry standard, a lot of books take the money out of the account. Well, BetIslands left it in there for the taking. When I checked my balance Monday morning, the money was still there (surprise, surprise...) In effort to increase my profits, I decided to Blackjack (which was MY stupid mistake!) Bye, bye cash. After playing the casino, which seemed to have "fishy" odds, over 1k was gone. In short, I did not like the tactics. Keep your money in there as long as possible and the wait to see if the customer loses it. Two lessons to take from this: 1) Never play there casino- not if you want to lose 10+ hands in a row 2) The processing time on withdraws stinks. At the end, I shared my experience with BI and, while apologetic, they just came up for bland reasons re: why all this happened. Just wanted to add my two cents. -corky

Oh, another funny thing. I requested for my account to be closed, and after checking this morning, the effing thing is still open. Obviously, I'm not surprised as this par for the course. Response time with these guys are definitely not top notch.

What I think happened was they left the money in your account just knowing that you would get greedy and go in the casino and the second you did they hit the doom switch to take all of it so they wouldn't have to payout.

Ha! Agreed. I'm just tired of reading stories from all the shills on this site. Sure, they send the money fast (MAYBE- I wouldn't know,) but they certainly take their sweet time transferring the balance from my account to the processing the department.

why does everyone always blame the book

don't use the funds until they come out

it wasn't like they were left in the account for a week or so it was less than a day.

    it was also a weekend.

the sad part about this thread is jon will most likely give you something for the trouble when in reality you don't deserve a cent.

i wonder if you would have taken the casino to the cleaners if we would be reading this thread today?

All books leave the $ in hoping you'll lose it before the payout is processed. It's a dirty tactic but unfortunately an industry standard and FOR GOD SAKES WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU RISK YOUR $ ON AN ONLINE CASINO? OF COURSE YOU LOST YOUR MONEY!

Not looking for any freebies, guys! I'm just saying the book had been open for a couple hours on Monday and the money was still there. Everyone is writing these "golden" remarks about BI, but in my opinion, a 5-star book would have had this processed first thing. Also, if I had won at the casino, I would NOT have started this thread, however I got ravaged and I wanted to let other players know to STAY AWAY. The odds seem tremendously on in favor of the house. I'd love for them to pull the logs!

No wait this is what REEAALLY happened.....some underpaid/overworked guy named Harold who works at Betislands was probably just sitting behind his computer screen and saw that you requested a payout and made a call to the boss, who in turn says to the Harold guy "this Corky wants a fukkin payout huh?, let's fukk this guy hard.....REAL hard, I want you to sit on his account and just wait until he gets the urge and then BURY HIS FUKKIN windbreaker wearin a$$, No mercy Harold, No mercy..."

Right? I've had my fair share of bad experiences with online casinos, but this was by far the dirtiest 10 minutes of Blackjack I've ever witnessed. It was so bad I had to write it in with the poor processing experience (which is a first might I add...)

They are not the only book that leaves the money in untill it gets processed.

Oh wait, this is the best part. So I had just lost my balance in the casino and I go on live chat to have the account disabled (which is still ACTIVE) and they tell me the withdrawal is being processed. I'm like, "how is that possible- I have no money..." Like they didn't know. Sure! Let's just dump salt on my wounds. Ouch!

Well they don't process withdraws on the weekends and they do leave it in there until they take it out, standard policy. Don't blame the book for this as i have gotten multiple withdraws from them in a very fast time. Maybe u need o rethink this out, your playing in a casino and to make matters worse your playing in an online casino. Can i ask u this whos fault is this yours or the book?
Honestly this isn't even a complaint this is your fault for gambling your money away in the casino,i think everyone knows except u to not play in the online casinos.

We've already established that playing in the casino was a terrible idea and my fault. I can still voice my concern about the odds and warn other players. I also think you're missing the point, my friend. I requested a payout on Sunday and the money was still there on Monday (which to me is a huge lag time.) Furthermore, when I got pn chat to have them disable my account, they told me the withdrawal was being processed (when there was zero balance,) which also tells me that no one was really paying attention. Just voicing my experience- not passing the blame, guys. That's not my style...

If you don't have the discipline to leave your money alone you should not be gambling. Take responsibility for your actions.

I didn't realize that people were illiterate on this forum. I've taken full responsibility for playing the casino. That was dumb. However, I feel the tactics BI used and lag time involved with processing my withdrawal is weak. At the end of the day, going on chat and having CS tell me that they're processing the payment, when there is nothing in the accounts, forces me to believe that had every intention to sit on the request. Just warning other players, guys. No reason to start name calling or any that nonsense. Just a bad experience being told.

Take it out early and hold your money and wait til it clears, and people btch they want interest on their funds. Wait until the payout is processed and people still btch. Lose-lose situation for books.

I get that. But what's an acceptable wait time and when does it feel like a book is "crossing the line" by leaving money in an account. I feel like BI's delay between transferring balance from account to processing department was a bit long, and hence, not well received. I've stated my case and it feel it is a decent one. Just my take...

Some books will pull the funds right away, even if they haven't actually processed it. It's all in the software.

    This is 100% user fault.

You can't blame a book for something like this and expect to be taken serious.

Software? Ha. I call it "dirty" tactics, but we're all allowed our own opinions.

Tell me this- Why does it take 15 minutes to get your money, but a couple hours to get it out? Blame it on the softward, I guess...

Did I blame anyone? Find a comment that points a finger. In fact, if anything, I accepted responsibility. I was telling people about my experience. Maybe you should actually read the email chain before you start putting words in my mouth.

    Hi Guys,

The player requested a payout late sunday night our accounting department was closed , if you check our website :

We process payouts Monday through Friday from 9am eastern time to 5pm eastern time; on Saturdays all payout requests must be submitted before 2pm eastern time. We send payouts the same way that you deposit.

Monday by the time we had a tracking number for the client we found no funds in the account. How is this my fault I do not understand.

People on this board know I have always been fair to players and always pay people but if someone decides to put into action their money it is not the books fault if the player losses his balance.

We do remove the funds at the time of request , the user requested it the payout around 9 30 pm est time , we submitted the payout to be taken care of on Monday and when we checked the players account there was no balance.

    Have a good one
