Betgun referral bonus: Your account is confiscated!

A friendly warning. Betgun is going to extremes to steal player balances. We had our second complaint of this in the last week.

This player showed Betgun to a friend. He opened an account, then original account (including deposit) seized! There is no claim of bonus abuse or exceeding limits. It's just another "gotcha" by Betgun to steal player funds.

I feel like there are some blanks that need to be filled in.

I can understand why a scam book would want to steal funds in general. But this seems like the last route they would want to go. Why chase away someone who has shown they might send new business?

And then what happens with the guy who just got referred in this scenario? His level of trust in Betgun can't be high. I can't think he would be wanting to place any bets there now.

With the facts I am seeing here, this is some of the most inept scamming I can recall.

As I say, I just feel like I am missing pieces of the puzzle.

I can't say I'm surprised at all Justin. I remember reading about Betgun (SBR Rated D+) confiscating a players 51,000 balance a few years ago, so I guess it's just standard business practices there.

my experience with BetGun has been a bit different to these horror stories

i opened an account with 100euros to take advantage of a 35euro bonus, however i did not read the t&c's properly....& bets had to contain 2 or more lines i.e. no single bets & there was an odds requirement of 1.6+ on any selection.

I then saw these negative reports & comments broke into a cold sweat & regretted opening an account. i feared the worst, but decided to play tho the 135euros.

my strategy was to select doubles on different days & then lay at betfair. I also tried to select losing bets to try to get my betfair lays to win, but unfortunately most of my BetGun doubles actually won

after playing thro the rollover requirements i tried to withdraw & empty my account but there was a pop-up stating that funds would not be available for 7 days. Again I feared the worst but when I checked the t&c's again sure enough there was a condition that funds could not be withdrawn until 7 days after the rollover requirements had been played thro.

7 days later I tried to withdraw my funds via moneybookers & the transaction went thro within 12 hours

I deposited 100euros, got 35euros bonus & stuck to the t&cs then successfully withdrew over 600 euros 7 days after the rollover requirements had ben met.

BetGun sent me an email confirming every bet i placed & then an email with the bet result.

i can only post my positive experience with BetGun & comment that perhaps players should read the t&c's very carefully

Joey1963's experience is not unusual. He has also explained procedure well.
I have used betgun for more than two years and have received several payouts from them without any problems.
My only complaints with this book are that the top betting limit is only €100 which will be reduced in stages to €75, €50, €25 and finally to €12.5 for customers who continue to win there.
I have found they very much honour the bets they have laid you. i.e - do not make excuses to avoid settling winning bets.
They are however very strict with ip use and will not allow more than one user per ip address. Any attempt at bonus fraud will result in no payout.
I suggest there is more to it than has been disclosed in any complaints to SBR

Doubt he's a shill. He would've made the figures much higher.

Poster claims reading bad press, then breaking into a cold sweat after having already deposited 100 euros (approx $135 USD). Cashed out 600 euros.

Lots of shitty books pay the small winners. It's the big winners they steal from.

Justin does not say how much is involved in the 'robbery' - but I doubt it is in the thousands.

You wouldn't think if the max bet is 100 euros and they cut limits of winning players.....but what about hitting a big parlay or big initial deposit to collect big bonus?

I've got the same prob with BetGun.
I'd deposit 120 Euros IOT get the 35 Euros.
I won some money and when I asked to withdraw my money (390 Euros)
(I'd followed the terms and I'd waited 7 days)
they blocked my account. (with the excuse that I've two accounts).
I'd contacted them several times and in the end I received an e-mail
saying that i've the same password and same security question with an other account.

    What can I do now??
I cannot bet n cannot withdraw my money....

    I've lost them??

    can somebody advice me?

Betgun nicked 12 quid off me!

I went after Betgun's bonus. Only after depositing money and trying to bet was it made clear that I had to bet multiples. My arbing skills aren't up to that so I ditched their bonus and went for the trade I was after at admittedly stupid odds. It was a palp and they cancelled, without emailing me -I only found out after checking the account again. I asked for my funds to be returned to MB and it seemed to go through ok (their Ts&Cs don't show any charges for this sort of thing) but only 90% of my cash reappeared in my MB account.

I'm querying it with Betgun and MB, but it may be another one to write off to experience, particularly stupid odds. If it seems too good to be true it probably is! Stick to under 3%s.
