I wonder how much heritage paid for all of the supposedly secure data that every book swore up and down they would never give to anyone?

Sportsbook lists are very valuable to scammers. I just received a call yesterday from someone in Costa Rica that tried to scam me, who obviously got my name from a sportsbook list. And I had another rip-off attempt about half a year ago, where a sportsbook's list was the culprit. So these lists have value.

I know of a certain list that changed hands recently for 100k USD. Big market for those lists. I doubt that anybody would be surprised at just how sneaky some of these books are. Hiring hackers to hack other sportsbooks to take their customer databases, etc.

It's obviously worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay.

I personally wouldn't pay a penny for a list of e-mails under any circumstance. If there's anything that pisses me off, it's being contacted by a book that shouldn't have my information. I automatically cross them off from potentially depositing with them.

    likewise

what really pisses me off is that they suggest you "unsubscribe" from their list ... as though I'd ever "subscribed" in the first place
