is it reasonable to ask to a book?

Is it reasonable to ask a sportsbook for them to cancel your wager in case you bet incorrectly a wager? I mean not after the grading is taken place, but like half an hour or 1h after placing the wager... any good ways to ask for this in case it happens?

Greek lets you cancel them but you have to call right away (within 30 minutes). If you wait and the line changes then you are screwed.

I've had mixed results with this. I've called the book like 30 seconds after I entered the wager and one let me cancel, one didn't. I've never tried any length of time afterwards.

If the odds have moved against you then no chance, if they haven't then maybe, especially if you are just wanting to move your stake onto the other team due to an error, or if you've put an extra 0 on your bet that distinguishes it from your usual betting pattern.

The Betjamaica/Greek family has no fuss about cancelling your bets as long as the line hasnt changed. If the line moves, even if only 5 cents, they won't do it. Reasonable imo

I put in a $500 bet at DSI by accident (im a $50 bettor) called right away and they changed it to $50. Of course the bet won easily!

Is it reasonable for them to be able to cancel wagers you made?

Of course it's reasonable to ask. They don't owe you that courtesy, however. Give it a shot. If your request is in good faith there is no downside.

I'd say there's no harm in asking, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't oblige.

As long as you do it quickly and before the line changes, they should.

Was just what I was going to say. Reasonable to ask, just don't get your hopes up.

I've had quite a few bets cancelled for me. Usually on bets with rules I'd misinterpreted. A few times for incorrect dollar amounts and betting on the wrong side as well. Normally I contacted them immediately after although with one "where will LeBron go" prop last year, it was several hours after the fact. The line had never moved in any of the instances though.

Cris did this for me once, but was straight afterwards. I think one of the Asian books refused though - fair enough I guess.

Guess if they don't cancel your bet you can always bet the other side and eat the juice. If you call right after you made the bet, there might be a good chance they will cancel it for you as long as the line doesn't chance. Would be a good gesture on the book's part and creates goodwill.

Yes. You are in a "market-sensitive" situation, where the conditions are changing constantly.

Plus, where do they draw the line? What if they allowed you to change your bet whenever, but SO MANY PEOPLE WERE DOING IT, that you couldn't get through to customer service? How pissed would you be?

Any policy is fine. No, not ever. Once. If line hasn't changed. All three are fine, as long as they are CONSISTENT.

I've been betting sports online for a little over 10 years, I've made a mistake 3, maybe 4, but no more, times where I had to call CS to ask if I change it.

Only once was I denied, that was only because it was like an hour later.

i remember a year ago, i think it was with nordicbet, where you can confirm your wager by pressing enter on the keyboard, i just retardedly entered some plays into the parlay coupon, typed in a number of half my roll and accidently my elbow pressed the enter button (i couldnt get it cancelled and no miracle happened so i lost :P) anyway i think with parlays nobody lets you cancel them for sure.
