Bodog - Not Honouring Promo Email

Bodog sent me an email this week offering a 25% free play bonus on my next deposit. Terms clearly state a $500 bonus is available.

So I throw down $2k this afternoon and only get credited with a $100 fp. I get into chat and am told:

"We were checking on the promotion terms that the maximum bonus is $125. The email states $500 is the maximum deposit so that you can receive the maximum bonus that is $125 (25%)."

CS is (a) Lying. Nowhere does the email state the max deposit is $500, and (b) proving their system is incompetent. Even if the max bonus was $125, then why did I only get $100?

BodogBecky, where's the love??? Any chance you can help get the missing $400 put on my account. I can PM you my account number if needed.

    Hey Bracerman,

I'm pretty sure you could get that cleared up w/ CS if you ask for a higher up. It does appear that your deserved a $500 free bet on hockey. Is that also your understanding?

This is relatively new practice of Bodog. No matter what they say in emails or on the website, you get $100 bonus automatically added and then have to fight for the real bonus. Not sure I have ever seen this in the industry before, but it seems like it is SOP now. Weird tactic to say the least. I am surprised that it took this long for it to hit the forums. They have been doing this for months. Maybe Bodog Becky can clear it up.

    Yes.

I've pestered them some more and they've now asked me to forward the email to their verification department to confirm the authenticity. Are they not aware of the emails they send out?

I would tend to say that CS is not always aware of what their promotional department does at all times. I have run into problems like that w/ several shops. They have always been cleared up are a bit of communicating. Did you try to cut and paste the body of their email into your chat session? It might be faster than email communication.

Verification dept approved things and FP has been credited. Pretty quick fix since emailing them, but CS should've been able to take care of this on the spot.

Glad they cleared this up, but what Cloud reported earlier is correct. They have been doing this for a while. I always wondered how many people take the $100 and don't complain for the rest. I bet Bodog can tell us what the statistic is!! lolol

I have had to contact them several times to get all of my bonuses. I enrolled in the poker bonus that pays you $10 for every poker point earned up to $1000 worth of a bonus.

I had money credited toy account everyday and the it suddenly stopped. I had to bug cs for a few days and then it started crediting the bonus to my account again.

Once the bonus stops they usually tell me to wait for it but it never comes. Then I have to contact them again and they finally give it to me.

I've had to go through this process several times. I think I've contacted them a total of 4 times because they kept stopping my bonus.

As it is, they have credited me my bonus so far but it's been a hastle.

Not just Bodog but it would be good if all books' customer service were kept up with their companies current promotions.

Yes, PM me your account number! Also, I spoke with marketing and there was an error on the back end of the bonus which as now been resolved and set to a max bonus of $500.

    Thanks,

Bodog will take advantage of you at every opportunity that is presented to them. Stay away from this awful book. What they have done to me and others is purely criminal. If you deposit with them and win, don't expect to get paid.

Assuming you never charged back a deposit (and I have the strong feeling you might have done just that), BoDog ALWAYS pays.

Unfortunately, if you have any clue as to what you're doing, they will limit your wagering limits to peanuts as they call themselves a "recreational" sportsbook even though they offer $2,000 betting limits on NFL games. What is recreational about betting $2,000 on a football game?

We all know recreational = losing player so why don't they just say that and be truthful about it as opposed to sending out emails indicating they have noticied "suspicious betting patterns" in your account (suspicious betting patterns simply meaning winning).

Trust me Bodog does NOT always pay. I was presented 0 withdrawal options in my name and I had a 5 figure balance. I wound up losing more than half of my money in assorted fees. Do you call that "paying?" I don't.

This is just not true. I have explained bodog's side of this situation already and bodog always finds a way to pay- they have not missed a payout in the 16 years they have been in business. Saying that Bodog does not always pay is just not true, this situation was a unique one which unfortunately was not easy to solve due to the way things are in the US at the moment- this is not bodog's fault.

    Thanks,
    Becky

If it isn't Bodog's fault, is it my fault? I am the one having to absorb a huge loss of money due to various fees that I am forced in to. And to say that Bodog always finds a way to pay is not entirely accurate. I was given 0 options to be paid in my name. I was told that I would not be paid unless I accepted the option of being paid to a third party, with astronomical fees attached. I just wanted to be paid via the method that I deposited through and was currently available. Since Bodog rejected my ideas and this situation is clearly not my fault, why did Bodog not pick up a single penny of these fees? Can't Bodog share in the loss as opposed to entirely passing it entirely along to a loyal 5 year customer? How about the fees that I paid out of my pocket, also not to be reimbursed by Bodog, for attempting options that Bodog suggested that they later told me that they couldn't accomplish? Please answer these questions, Becky, as opposed to disappearing when you are asked direct questions. Give us specifics, please. Not generalizations such as "Bodog always pays" or "this is a unique situation and the customer was given options."

you have a soft stand m8 .. I would of been at Costa Rica by now and collected my money face to face .. I don't care if they said they won't do that .. I'll still be there and I would make a scene until I got my money .. when they steal near 5 figure balance from me or anyone .. now we got problems .. I would give them so much headache that they will beg me to get take the money and just go away .. they got no idea who their messing with if this kinda shit happened to me .. and trust me what I am saying is not just words .. I would be backing it up by my action right away

besides why anyone want to use bodog is beyond me .. their lines are horrible ..

They refused all 3 of these methods in my name (Becky, tell everyone if I am telling the truth) and a lot of other suggested options as well. And yet, I am forced into THEIR method, in someone else's name, and into a ridiculously high loss of funds due to Bodog fees and 3rd party fees and Bodog refuses to assume responsibility for ANY of these fees that I HAVE to assume.

Can anyone in their right mind say that this is not absolutely ridiculous?
