There are approx 5 solid companies out there that have programs to use for Betfair

Its basically trading software that links up to your BetFair account

    Auto betting, Auto Dutching, Etc

Do you use any of them and are they useful??

No. I don't use any betting software.

I'm not a trader and in any event Aussies can't bet live on line whether with or without a software tool.

Betacular is quite useful on Android devices ...

For PCs, Betfair Rapid is sufficient for non-heavy use but Geeks Toy is IMO best of the free ones ...

Yes, used them all. Its use is limited in Australia as you cannot trade live.

Marketfeeder Pro is the most versatile.

They are all really designed for autobetting on horse racing systems based on the price or autotrading, which I know nothing about. There is definitely some money to be made if you are patient.

    Thanks men

They seem to be auto profit type programs but you need a lot of cash and high liquid markets

You probably already know this, but make sure that whatever software you use that it does not exceed the amount of data requests allowed. If you are willing to use just about any software you may find that you have been charged fees by Betfair because of the excessive data use.

If using betfair rapid or geekstoy I do not think that you will have this problem.

If you have like 10k in your betfair account and run these programs I say you can make like $50 a day easy free money but you have to play all horse meets in UK, some usa ones, soccer matches and tennis

It seems like stealing but like i said very low guaranteed profits unless your really good at the game and know how some markets will move

Yeah I average a few hundred a week in trading profits, albeit less in the summer when there's no football/soccer to capitalize upon.

BTW JJ - I had €400 on Murray to win 3-0 at evens today ... why do you think set betting is scary/to be avoided ?

No, I mean on sports too. I know many people who place live bets on betfair. I don't do it myself though.

It's illegal. And when Betfair discover them their accounts are gone forever.

Betfair asked one of them (the one who has been doing it for the longest, by far) about it and that was it, he still does it. Obviously he didn't tell the truth. I don't think any of the others have been questioned about it yet.

I almost never use my Betfair account at all, have very little interest in live betting either.

So what do you bet on that Betfair wouldn't give you odds at least competitive with wherever you do bet ?

To be fair Hareeba, if one is not betting thousands and thousands a week, the lines at SBO, Canbet, 12Bet/Dafa, Pinnacle and a couple Aussie books will give payouts near or same as BF often, considering someone not using it often would pay the full 5% whack ...

you may be close to correct for those who don't know how to get the best out of an exchange

but I do shop keenly for best odds and the fact that I do more turnover at Betfair than any of the other books is testament to the fact that you can get best odds there more than a lot of posters on this forum seem to believe

I think most never consider posting an offer

obviously the more you turnover the better your effective odds due to lower commissions

also it depends to some extent on the sports you bet

Betfair is about as good as you can get for racing so a reasonable amount of my turnover is attributable to that.

Canbet? lol ... wouldn't touch them even if they did allow me to bet more than $20!
Most of the Aussie books (TAB aside) won't let you on for a great deal either unless it is a major event and same goes for SBO aside from soccer.
