Peep, sorry. I play straight without a bonus because I hate rollovers.

I personally don't work there, but I play there and enjoy them. Like i have said a million times, you hate to see a solid operation that pays get blasted, and more importantly one that pays me and my friends.

Also, when I first started posting at SBR (I also bet most major sports) one couldn't help, but see them get knocked. I was trying to bring some balance in a somewhat negative enviornment. In the end it dosen't really matter except to say its important that the playing ground is even and fair as much as possible. I of course want them to make it and everyone here wants to make sure you get paid and the book treats you fairly.

You can't help guys like Mudcat from over stating the obvious, that most new books run into trouble. I have stated over and over again that this sportsbook seems different and is my diamond in the rough. Most importantly, SBR wants people to understand the risk involved in newer operations so I am not shilling or telling anyone to bet there. I was hoping to add counter balance. I really wanted to see how your experience was to mine.

At first I couldn't figure your hard on with this place. I mean you have been in every thread about them since day 1. If St. Aquinas is considered a SHILL then you would be the ANTI-SHILL. The player and book agreed on the 120k figure, and that it was $500/hand Blackjack. That's not in dispute.

There were factual issues: did an employee give the player too much in bonuses? The player got a lot of bonuses, but he was a casino fiend - I could easily justify giving a player $20k in bonuses when he's putting in $1m per day in volume on an internet casino.

The other factual issue: the book alleged that the employee rigged the game. While the employee raised the limits to $500/hand, there was no evidence of tampering with the game to give the player an advantage. I offered to review a 10,000 hand history to see if the player had an unfair advantage. This was declined. The book produced NO evidence that the player cheated or had an unfair advantage. Everything is consistent with catering to a big player who WILL lose in the casino, given enough time.

I spent a lot of time on this investigation, and hope it gets reported officially soon. But let me be clear - the conclusion was a player was stiffed out of $120k, and the book grasped at straws to defend itself. Its defenses were ultimately based on facts it could not prove.

SBR Justin reports: BetSuperior (SBR rating D+) player balance confiscation
On April 10th, an employee of BetSuperior enticed a large bettor he knew from working at a previous sportsbook, with a credit line of $5000. The player lost this in the casino, and paid off his debt to the house. Over the following two weeks, the player made additional deposits totaling $8500. He made some sports wagers but most of his action was in the BetSuperior casino. During that time, the player and the BetSuperior account representative corresponded numerous times about the casino. The player's limits were raised to $500 per hand, and the rules were adjusted to reduce the house edge to be more comparable to that of blackjack on the Las Vegas Strip. The player gave Superior high volume play, some nights putting over $1 million in action. During that period, the sportsbook gave him multiple bonuses totaling approximately $18,000. One of these bonuses was a $5,000 credit that was applied with no deposit requirements. At the end of the week two the player went on a significant winning streak bringing his balance up to $120,000. The sportsbook then confiscated the balance. BetSuperior management claimed that the sportsbook employee, who was managing the account and authorized to give bonuses, should not have applied these bonuses and that the player's balance would be reduced to zero as a result. BetSuperior also claimed that the player and employee were in cahoots, and cheated at Blackjack by modifying the software. No proof of this claim was offered, despite SBR's offer to analyze the player hand history. BetSuperior has since been rebranded as betsportsweb (SBR rating D+)

You'd have to ask Bill. I would speculate that two things contributed to it - 1. No further complaints, and 2. The "greyness" of the one dispute. While I concluded that the player didn't cheat, I understood the book's arguments, and other people might have come to a different conclusion. It wasn't a "slam dunk 100% book must be wrong" case - I thought more likely than not, but certainly not 100%.

3. The book (in its old name) stiffed a casino winner out of $120k. They had a defense, but I didn't find it convincing.
