    Man Utd play awfull football

Awfull football, they don't come to "play". They come to defend and not to lose.

Really hate teams with this anti-football approach.

But what can you expect with guys like Fletcher, Carrick, O'Shea, Vidic etc.? They can't even pass a ball straight.

Oh really? Put some pressure on those non-technical guys and they lose possession all the time.

Man Utd is really a very awfull team to watch. They don't play to make people enjoy, they play to get a result. It's a way for success, but not mine..Really hate it.

Carrick, O'Shea, Fletcher in one team, give me a break . Vidic and Smalling, also very very awfull in possession. Gotta love this Luiz kid who goes trough to the midfield.

On the whole, apart from Arsenal, Spurs, Blackpool, West Brom, no team plays any decent football in the PL. Some dire football to watch at times and I prefer watching La Liga and Bundesliga over this shite.

Agree. Like to watch Liverpool now though with Suarez playing there.

22m for Suarez is looking like a bargain! Brilliant player! Knew he was talented but wasn't sure if he could adjust so quickly. Can't wait for him to face up against the man Utd defence this weekend.

Compared to his Newcastle kid its really a bargain indeed. Suarez will do well, single handed many defenses when he was still playing here. He made Nesta look like a kid.

But they must give him some propper partner in the attack.

Think Carroll will be a good partner, in my opinion. Will knock down balls for Suarez to latch onto, plus he's quick on his feet. We did really well to get rid of Torres and get these two in.

What utter rubbish once again. United definitely came to play and actually were brillant in the first half. What game did you watch?

Still made up that they lost. And seeing that redfaced hypocrite Ferguson complain about the ref after the game was priceless.

I guess it depends on your definition of "awful football." I would personally define it differently than you do. I think you're describing "ugly" football more than awful. If they played awful football they wouldn't be top of the table in the Prem, still alive in CL, and still alive in the FA Cup. They don't always play pretty, but more often than not they get the job done.

Have you guys noticed that Carroll is similar with Diego Forlan, Suarez national team mate? I mean the similar height, long shot, good pass and come deep to get ball.

For all of the non-metric folk out there, myself included, Forlan is about 5'10 and Carroll is about 6'3

Just curious, how do you know so much about United? Here's a suggestion...just stop watching them play all the time.

Again, the OP's not wrong. Can't compare the style Man Utd play with Dortmund, Bayern or Arsenal. They don't play attacking football; they play effective football which has won them the PL several times. It's at times very good to watch, but the type of football the current team is playing is not aesthetically pleasing (again, doesn't matter much though, since they are winning).
