I kind of see it as an 1-0 or 2-0 victory for Manchester and with the under priced as high as 2.30, I think it's the best angle.

One source of concern for Man U is that Wayne Rooney might be out due to a groin injury, but I don't think it will put too much of a dent in them even if he doesn't play.

Good situation for United. Stoke aren't exactly the type of club that can attack United (where United are most vulnerable) especially not at Old Trafford where much of the play should be in Stoke's half. Even without Rooney, United will have plenty of attacking options and Chicharito has already shown his quality earlier against Stoke with a brace. Nani will be back on the wing which will help generate some creativity and open up space up front which was lacking against West Brom. Evra is a doubt but Rafael should be back in to replace Neville...anyone but Neville is an improvement.

United have owned Stoke since they joined the top flight going 5-0 and outscoring them 14-1 over the last two season including an earlier 2-1 loss at the Brittania. United are at the top of the table and cannot afford to drop points at home and typical United start playing their best football after the New Year. Stoke may have one eye looking forward to their 3rd round FA Cup match on Saturday against Cardiff and not risk as much playing at Old Trafford. I think this game ends 2-0 for United.

Stoke hasn't scored at MU since 1980, 7 match span. Yikes.

Stoke are horrible on the road. Vidic should deal with the aerial threat posed by Jones. Unless Rory Delap throws in some tough balls to handle. Man United should win comfortably. But, its been a weird Premier league so far.

Berbatov scores a lot mainly against mediocre and weak teams. He has big chances to become for the first time topscorer in the EPL, lately he's been very motivated due to this fact. This game is great chance for him for another few goals.

The odds for United -1.5 are going up because of Evra, Gibson doubts and check on the late fitness of Wayne Rooney whereas Stoke have a fully-fit squad to choose from.

Stoke +1 should be a push at worst. This is Man U's 4th game in 9 days and they played on a heavy pitch at West Brom on Saturday. Stoke always show up to big games.

They may "show up", but they don't typically get positive results. Have only managed a point off of City against the 7 clubs ahead of them this season and in 14 meetings between the big clubs (ie. United, Chelsea and Arsenal), their only points came off a victory against Arsenal 2 seasons ago.

Went all in (500$) on MANU as the square of the day, it is not wise to do (given the way that MANU played vs birmingham and Westbrom but I need some action following the last minute loss that I had VT vs Stanford first half. Manu is at 1.4 at this point so it is not too bad of a deal, I believe they can squeeze on or two in and then sit back as Sir Alex always does.

My point is they typically don't get thrashed by the big clubs.
