    Barcelona/Real Madrid - thoughts/leans

This one is hard to cap. First of all, always throw away home advantage when capping a game of this magnitude.

I'd like to know what folks think about this game.

IMHO, I think there'll be more goals than a lot of folks would anticipate. I have this one ending all square: a 2-2 draw to be precise.

Let's know your thoughts on this mini World Cup finale.

he can lose this one, he said himself he's treating it as just another league game. It's not being treated like a CL semi-final.

Put a unit on +0.5 and enjoy the game.

The best matchup in the world goes on tonight.

    Who does everyone like?

As a Messi fan I think I'm going to take Barça for a couple of hundo, but Madrid +0.5 looks great.

    Opinions?

I won't be betting it because I'll be rooting hard for Barca, but Mourinho has put together a great team this year and I think it's a 50/50 game so the +0,5 look with Real would look enticing to me..

    Enjoy the game

Madrid hype? Maybe from SBR but 2/3 people who bet around the world will be on Barca ML for this game. Barca is the favorite for good reason, but Madrid is too dangerous to fade.

When these 2 teams play each other, the games, with a couple of exceptions, tend to be close tight games.
    I like draw too.

    Latest news from el Clasico!

Just a few hours ago spanish press has being saying that Higuain WONT play! This is due to muscular problems he had and because of it he didn't play the Amsterdam game.

Barcelona backers started talking that Mou just don't want Higuain on the field to have a 3 guys in midfield to make same thing he did with Inter last season.

Alonso - Khedira - Lass. That can be the Madrid midfield!

Some other talking that Mou will keep the usual formation just Benzema will go in for Higuain.

    Interesting what will happen!

WHatever Mou does and no matter what.

    Hala Madrid!

So far everyone has said either:Madrid wins, Barca wins, it's a draw, it's a under

No one has said anything about an over, watch this game produce like 5 goals.

Everyone seem to be on Barça. Ibra scored the only goal of the game in last year classico, and despite the fact Ronaldo played Madrid losed. I also remenber when Barça won about 6-1 at Madrid. I don't recall a recent Madrid winning over Barça. It could make Mou motivated to show that because of his skilled tatic, his team will win this game. I expect Ronaldo to take his revenche over barça. I'm worried though, David Villa, Iniesta, Messi and co, are very dangerous, plus they are playing at home. I think It would be safe to play PK for any of the team we take, just in case of a draw.

On Oddchecker.com Madrid was favored to win the game, but it all changed overnight, Barça is now favored by most of people and now get more than 55% of the bet. I was about to take Madrid yesterday night but when I saw that the % of bet was on Barça, it made me want to wait...

    I'll take Real -1 @ +600 and Barca -1 @ +300 for 2 units each and enjoy the game.

I expect Real to keep it rolling.

    Draw is likely, though.

that's not a profitable strategy IMO. If 1 team doesn't win by 2 goals you lose 4 units. And this is a tight game...

Even if 1 team wins and you push 1 bet, you lose 2 units with the other bet.

As expected Barcelona has been made the favorite for tonight’s encounter playing home at Camp Nou, but not by a big margin considering their home stats. In my opinion they should actually be bigger favorites, which might surprise some taking Real Madrid’s current form into account.

It is hard to argue against Real Madrid’s results, but despite doing a great job, Mourinho still has plenty of work to do. Firstly a big problem is the fact that they are a new team, which means they are still finding their playing style and have been relying on individual performances from their star players so far. In addition they have not yet played the best teams in Primera Division with the exception of Atletico, which mean they are still to be matched against stronger sides. It is also worth mentioning that Barcelona has won the last four encounters between the sides, with the two most recent ending 1-0 and 2-0.

This said it will be a very tight match between two teams in their best line-ups and Barcelona is certainly not a given winner. I have decided to back Barcelona though, as they are playing at home and have more homogeneous squad, who have proved itself in the El Clasico before.

My betting tip will be Barcelona to win.

I agree - I'm not going anywhere near this one ...

0-0 is just as likely as 3-2 (for either team)

This is the type of game where the bookmakers "Juice" is just a licence to print money.
I'll sit back and watch this one.

You won't enjoy the game if there are no goals in the game. I remenber one classico between real and barça and Ibra just scored one goal, the rest of the game was very boring...

DO NOT TOUCH IT!!! barca are probably favourites to win it but i wouldnt be surprised if madrid took it...draws a strong possibility as well...this ones impossible to cap!!!
but if any of u guys are interested i took the over 1 goal at HT for 2 units. ive cashed this a bunch of times over the last few seasons. In the el classico league games in the last 10 years 16/20 have had atleast 1 goal at HT, so a push or win is very likely. However im not very confident this year tho cos mourinho will try to shut down the barca offence early on n i expect the game to open up in the second half

    Madrid wins 2-0

Morinho has a history of making his teams play well in big matches. No matter what he says about this being just another league match. He is just being politcally correct. This is a man of huge ego. Don't doubt for a second that he desn't realize what a victory will mean to his ever growing reputation.

Higuan's injury has little or no bearing on this match. Benzema is no slouch. Madrid has a very deep and talented bench. Murinho's 4-5-1 formation would probably means this match will have a boring, grueling, possesion minded match written all over it. Then again, Barca might win 3-0.

    Pick:
    Under 2.75
    Madrid +0.25
    Correct score: 0-2, 0-1 Madrid
