    Each country has its own national league, where a team plays against other teams in the same country, for example English Premier League, Spanish, German, Italian league and so on. Games are usually in the weekends.

    Besides the national league, the best teams from each country also play in another league, the Champions League, where they play against teams from all over Europe. Games are on tuesday and wednesdays.

    thanks. pretty much what i figured.

    just seems like there are so many mismatched games in the champs league. been watching for a few years, just starting to really follow. still trying to understand how a season is played. love it.
