This season i'm going to try and keep a thread alive past November lol - and only on boro matches.

I want to see if i can actually predict my own team's games.

1 Bet per game - 1 unit stake (to win 1 unit or risk one unit)

First up:

Middlesbrough vs Pompey Over 2.5 Goals @ 11/10 1U

Middlesbrough don't have such a good record on the opening day - and while i feel we'll be unlucky just to draw this game, i see the over as the better value.
Because of our sluggish starts to the season, we are very open at the back and have a rich history of conceding on opening day.
Last year we went ahead early before slipping 3-1 to Ipswich. We have good attacking players but at the back we'll always offer easy chances. On top of that we're a Tony Mowbray side, and therefore will play open football - much more exciting than that ginger bastard last year.

Onto Boro's next game which is on Saturday, i'll no doubt be taking us to grab at least a point at Leeds, but i'll wait a few days for more research before placing the bet. Probably +.25 on the handicap.

I will admit that the thread didn't make it official but i live in uganda and i've had bugger all internet this past week so that's why i've been rarely onto the thread or even sbr for that matter.

This is a tough one for me, because we are clear favourites on the road. I don't like that at all so i'm looking through Bet365 for any alternative bets.
I've decided on a tough one to call, and that is Over 2.5 goals @ +110

This is a Tony Mowbray side and we'll score goals this season, but likewise we'll no doubt concede at least 55 this term.

Yeh, 3 in 3 in the league but 6 in 4 after his hat trick at wallsall, he's started to show why we got him but he must continue like this - all boro fans are still wary and we do have a hell of a tough game this weekend at home to brum

Middlesbrough vs Birmingham

4th league match of the season and we're currently on 7 points, while Brum have struggled to 3 points from their first 2 games.
I feel this is another tough one to call and i'm torn between the under and Boro -0.25 on the asian handicap.
Brum can't score but we can't defend, and while we have started well, Brum is our first ex-PL challenge of the year.

I'm going to go with Middlesbrough -0.25 @ 10/11

I think boro will come out low key, and conserve energy, so i actually believe it will be 2-3 goals - which is 10/11 at bet365, bit dangerous either way of that 2.5 goal line though - a game i wouldn't want to bet tbh

I'm well worried about this one, we always seem to underachieve against teams like this, especially with us on a high and cov on a big low.
I'm going to go for the under, i want to bet Boro but i daren't and coventry would be a silly bet, so 20/21 for the under 2.5
