Melbourne Victory got themselves that elusive first win with a solid defensive performance last week albeit against an undermanned Gold Coast attack. That will give them enormous confidence going into Friday night’s clash with Central Coast Mariners who, after a good first up win, have struggled to maintain any consistency of performance. Losing Patricio Perez is a blow as he looks like he can add that touch of creative flair that they often miss. Victory has no fear of Bluetongue Stadium as their last three visits have resulted in two wins and a draw plus ten goals. With this in mind, I can see the away team taking the points.

To be honest that's a hard one, the A-League is a bit of a Jekyl and Hyde experience, one week teams draw 3-3 next week they won't score, scores and previous encounters aren't always the best information to go off. It's a very hard tip that one, if you play the O/U proceed with caution, the same with my Melbourne tip not large stakes on this one.
