Red Bulls Sign Marquez of Mexico

The Mexican national team captain Rafael Marquez signed with the Red Bulls, two days after he was released by Barcelona. Marquez, a 31-year-old defender, joined his former Barcelona teammate Thierry Henry on the Red Bulls. Henry made his Major League Soccer debut Saturday at Houston, forming an impressive front line with Juan Pablo Angel.

Well, they've added a couple of real quality players to an already solid team, look forward to seeing them play again soon.

Nice to see quality players joining the MLS too. I think the league has improved a lot in the last 2 seasons and I really look forward to watching the games now. The pace is good, the pressing in defense is solid and the use of the ball is improving. Developing into a good league that is comparable to mid-level European leagues.
