    Chicken Dinner w/EP36

Welcome to Hell's Kitchen, population me. We're cooking up what we want here, tasty treats that take us to the pay window as much as possible. All we want at the end of the day is to here the phrase that pays ...

    WINNER! WINNER! CHICKEN DINNER!

PLAY #1: [Friendly] Bayer Leverkusen vs. CZ Jena OVER 3.5 [-112]
Leverkusen just wrapped their training camp having played a pair of friendlies before today. They whipped a local club in Zillertal, 12-0 and then put the hurt on Wacker Innsbruck, 3-1. Now they get a third tier Bundesliga squad in CZ Jena today.
Leverkusen made a big splash during the offseason in recent times by signing former German team captain Michael Ballack. He won't be on the pitch just yet, but Leverkusen should come out firing again today and if they don't light up the scoreboard, it'd be a shock. Heavy support obviously on the Leverkusen money line today as they price has been hammered hard in the last hour. This is a friendly though, so don't over extend your bank roll - normal betting size or slightly less if you like this one.

Most of the friendly matches have totals set at 3 or higher. It's more or less an organized practice session where the big clubs theoretically should hammer smaller ones. Sometimes happens. Sometimes does not.

I remember I had some plays on Jena last season in the lower German division, this was a good play since both teams are very offensive teams.

PLAY #2: [Friendly] Stuttgart vs. Stuttgarter Kickers OVER 3.5/4 [-123]
German Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart takes part in their second friendly as they prepare for both Europa League qualis and the upcoming Bundesliga season. In their first friendly, they played to a 2-2 with Grasshoppers from the Swiss top league. Kickers are a Regionaliga squad from Germany which is fourth tier in the country. This is an intercity derby, so there will be an air of excitement to this one I would think especially for the Kickers. Kickers have already taken part in several friendlies with lower tier and local clubs. Expect the big boys from Stuttgart to get themselves some confidence today and I think they could easily put up four goals by themselves to get at least a half stakes win on this number. Remember again this is a friendly, so keep your stakes level normal or slightly lower than normal as the exhibition nature of these can make sometimes for odd results.

Why not take Stuttgart -1.75 if you think they will get multiple goals? Same price.

I'm not big on taking sides in these friendlies. Yesterday is a perfect example. Leverkusen wins by just one over Jena, but five goals are scored. Not saying Stuttgart may not crush the Kickers, but I think there's more likely to be goals scored than Stuttgart necessarily getting a blowout win. Just my strategy.

There's nothing at stake for either side. It's just a fun game. Over is the best pick. It may even end in a 2-2 draw!

Play #3: [Brazil Serie A] Atletico Paranaense vs. Cruzeiro OVER 2.5 [-122]
There have been 12 goals scored in AP's three home matches early on in Brazil's top league. The home side has scored at least two goals in each match, while giving up at least two in 2 of 3. Cruzeiro has given up a goal in each of their four road matches with 3 of 4 seeing 3 goals or more. AP has conceded the 2nd most goals in the league so far with 15 in 7 matches. Both were a little iffy heading into the World Cup break as far as scoring, so hopefully the break refreshed them. Gonna give it a try.

Play #4: [Ireland Premier] Sligo Rovers +0.5/+1 [-123]
Sligo are the draw kings of Ireland with 9 in their 21 Premier League matches. Six of those nine have come on the road. Bohemians have drawn six times themselves with five of those coming at home in just nine matches. Sligo has just two losses in 10 road matches and both were by a single goal. Bohemians just played Champions League qualification earlier this week, so it's possible Sligo may get a squad today in Bohemians that are not quite concentrated back on league play just yet. Bohemians also has another CL match coming up. Sligo earned away draws to league leaders Shamrock as well as third place Sporting Fingal, while losing 1-0 to 2nd place St.Patrick's.

I think I need to hire a new cook. F-ing starving over here. Might as well keep bleeding tonight.

PLAY #5: [Brazil Serie B] America vs. Coritiba OVER 2.5 [-125]
America has let goals in by the masses at home in just three matches in Serie B. 10 altogether. The only bad part is their offense has not been able to match with just three goals in those matches and all three coming in one match. They have given up 8 goals now in their last two Serie B matches. Coritiba meanwhile has been impressive away from home with 8 goals in four matches, while conceding in each also. Each of their road matches has hit at least three goals. Coritiba should be licking their chops at the prospects tonight as they look to shake off a lackluster home draw earlier this week. Each team has just one clean sheet this season in 16 combined matches, so it seems likely that goals will flow here ... well, hopefully.

PLAY #6: [Brazil Serie B] Sport Recife vs. Ponte Preta OVER 2.5 [-123]
Sport Recife picked up right where they left off prior to the World Cup break with 3 goals against Ipatinga earlier this week. Recife busted through for 5 goals against America RN in their last match prior to the break. At home this season, Recife have scored one goal in each match, while conceding in 2 of 3. Ponte Preta has scored and conceded in each of their four away matches this season in Serie B. They have conceded five goals in their last two on the road. Ponte Preta has allowed a goal in 6 of their 8 matches this season with the only clean sheets coming at home. Sport Recife will look to translate their recent goal scoring form on the road to home. Watch for Ciro for Recife who has 6 goals in the last four matches.
