Your Favorite Player This World Cup Was.....

    .....

Diego Forlan. By far my favorite player in the world cup and here is why. Watch the Ghana game. Look at the mans face when they go down 1-0. He wanted the win so damn bad I felt for him. Announcers were saying he was aiming for goal. And sure enough the equalizer 1-1. Penalty kick was smoother than the most interesting man in the world. Holland game. Again down 1-0 but now facing a tougher, experienced team without your partner in crime Luis Suarez. Uruguay go as Forlan went. He tied it again at 1-1 from a fantastic trap and firt touch of the ball. The strike was great itself. Im just sayin... Forlan is dat dude! im his oersonal I want my kids to have his blond long locks. (I have black long hair) Sad to see him play his final World Cup game on saturday. He may not make it to 2014. Bravo Forlan!!!!!!!!!!!!

Villa is a interesting choice. I really dont like any Spain striker though. They really dont do the dirty work get perfect passes and just hit the ball. I saw Forlan trap provide a great firt touch on the ball to give himself space and the strike the ball from 20-25 yards out. Forlan gets my vote.

Villa got mine due to a simple reason : After Brazil - North Korea 2-1, my account was neutral, as in no cash in it. Except for a pending wager on David Villa, over 3.5 goals. Once he scored his 4th goal, I got 32$, and now I can go to 165$ if Uruguay - Germany finishes over 2.5.
Villa saved my ass at least 3 times so far, so it's an obvious pick for me.

Agree, matches he didn´t score was involved.

(Forlán cross to Suarez between the South Korean defence and the goalkeeper was perfect).

Forlan's goals were all made by himself, finding an open space and using either foot from a long range.

He´s able to make the difference creating an opportunity independently of team performance.

Also had to do the work of 3 players (vs Holland) and he scored.

    Here is the value,

Opening score/ and penalty against SudAfrica.

Also I think the goalkeeper of Nigeria was pretty good..and you have to give it to the team from New Zealand, didnt lose a game, and two players were recruited from facebook

We can not forget about Klose, so far he has scored 4 goals and has the chance to pass Ronaldo for best all-time scorer. He has had a tough season in Bayern Munchen but when the Germans put on that shirt they always deliver. He's not involved in the game as much like for instance Forlán. But you have to give him credit.

I believe that many did not think he could be a contender for top scorer again.

You don't have to do dirty work when you pass the ball perfectly...nothing wrong with that.
    I say Villa.

Asamoah Gyan. He created peril by himself for Ghana's opponents. He's strong, has pace and shoots from anywhere.

I think nobody is stainding out from a team to say that he is the best player, even villa has most goals , he is not making a game, and during the game others are looking as good as villa or even better so for my opion there are many good players and its hard to say that one is better than another

If you look at pre-WC marketing, none of the international megastars stood out. They all disappeared. Ronaldo, Rooney, Messi. In the range right below that the one team with two superstars who did come through is Holland. Robben has been the most feared player in the WC, measured by adjustments by opposing teams, and Sneijder has the golden touch. Villa has found the net for Spain, but the rest of the Spanish team can't score.

In terms of one player standing out, it wasn't that kind of WC.
