I decided to look back at the last 6 world cups to see if there was any info to help cap these upcoming gmes and i found out some good stuff. The books are now offering the tempting pk to advance lines to make it seem easier to pick the winners instead of getting stuck with the 90 minutes results. Anyways those lines are luring but i found that it is better to stick with the 90 minute results.
Here is what i found out from the last 6 world cups.
Out of 90 elimination matches only 19 went to penalties. Thats 21%
Out of the 48 round of 16 matches only 5 went to penalties- thats 10.41% and no more than 1 game per world cup went to pk's in the round of 16 in those 6 events.
During those 6 cups 2 times 4 games went to pk's out of the 15 elimination matches and 3times twice and 2 times once.
Also another interesting stat. Out of those 6 cups 9 games went into extra time and were decided there, besides those pk games that is. So 28 out of 90 matches went into extra time in the last 6 world cups. The reason i posted this thread is that books are offering lucrative props for pk winners and to me they are mostly sucker bets. Anyways just wanted to pass this info.
