The Dutch did their job against Denmark, no more than that. Denmark scored an own goal at the start of the second half, but up to that moment nothing separated the two sides. One thing is clear, the Dutch defence is really strong this time around. Robben was an unused substitute against the Danes and it looks like he will sit this one out as well. Elia, the Hamburg winger, was the best Dutch player on the day. He impressed hugely as a second half substitute. Bench starter again, they say. Japan play simple football. They are certainly not the most creative side around, but they are hard workers, excellent runners and they can make life difficult for most sides. Still I do not give much for their offensive game and they are nowhere near the quality of the S Koreans. The CSKA midfielder Honda played upfront against Cameroon and he proved his coach right by scoring their goal. The Catania striker Morimoto should be available again for this match.
