Kawasaki Frontale v Melbourne (AFC)
Roughly 5 hours till kick off.
I like the over in this match, and i am banking on Kawasaki to score early and get Melbourne to open up and try to answer with some goals themselves. Melbourne pretty much need to get something from this match. They just lost the A-League, now the focus has to be on qualifying to the knock stages in the AFC Champions League. I'm leaning over.

Melbourne played extra time and pens in the Grand Final and lost, they'll be drained mentally and physically, they also had to leave Australia shortly after the Grand Final so they're going to be tired.
Plus they had the blow of losing Archie Thompson to a serious injury. Kawasaki is also quite a good team and I think the standard of Kawasaki was already slightly better than Melbourne so I really like Kawasaki to win this one. The overall standard and competitiveness of the J-League is definately better than the Aussie league so I think the Japanese teams hold a slight advantage because they play against better opponents every week.
By the way, Kawasaki lost 4-0 away to Yokohama on the weekend, I'm just wondering if they rested any players in this game, does anyone know? Or was it just a poor performance? Perhaps they were looking towards the Melbourne game?
Trying to find out, i know 3 good defensive players for Kawasaki are injured.

I am stating the obvious but depends on how Melbourne comes out. If the grand final loss messed with there minds, they can get flogged. If there head is on the task could be a dog fight. From personal experience if you lose a grand final your more likely to be of the first type.
Also I wonder why -1 Kawasaki $1.96 and why +1 Melbourne $1.85. Is someone banging Melbourne or are the bookies leaning Melbourne. I though my big bet would of moved the line, it didn't. By the way this was at Pinnacle.

One thing I will tell yous is last game in AFC a week or two ago Gamba Osaka was giving -1.5 line I put $1000 on them. Also 2minutes before kick off Kawasaki -1 went to $2.07 and Melbourne +1 went to about $1.79 at pinnacle. I bet $700 at pinnacle and the game went offline for a minute an d when it came back online the line didn't move a cent. Meaning either once again pinnacle leaned melbourne. Or someone laid at least a few g's on melbourne. Sucks to be that guy..
