I saw this. Sbr mostly american posters.

Let's see what the domestic leagues do. They said they will not tolerate it and fifa and uefa backed that with threatening to kick them out of domestic competition. They announced anyways. Uefa was supposed to announce a new champions league format tomorrow.

Salud, Laker. This has major ramifications.

Already talk that the top teams might be booted from the domestic leagues. Talk about the rich getting richer. Can you imagine the TV ratings if it's just the top 8 Euro teams playing H2H every weekend?

I think most of the soccer players involved in this league will be earning baseball type salaries a year like 10 million dollar a year.

Not playing in world cups I would think it's huge. No chance any real soccer player would miss a shot at the greatest event in sports.

Imagine if the FA deduct points from Man City and Man United this year in the league that would be unreal.

I'm gonna be in Qatar. It cost$9800 for the quarterfinals and semi finals plus hotel. Not cheap but whatever Chuck. I have to be there. You want to come?

Laker, you're a very wise man. Yes! Qatar 2022 is on my to-do list.

Per usual, I'm slow on preparations. My preference would actually be to attend the Group stage. I'm not crazy about paying nose-bleed for sporting events.

So, yes, would like to go. I'm optimistic about this young USA team. Would like to attend some USA games (assuming we qualify). And I'd like to attend games featuring lower population nations. I'm not crazy about overpaying to see Eng/Fra/Braz etc.

Props to u, Laker. Must be nice to have bottom-less wallet.

For World Cup...I love the tier2 games. Sen/Japan would be awesome.

You should have come out to the NBA game in Oakland. Ton of Raptor supporters, u would have fit right in.

Laker, I'll give u a future to pontificate on:

*USA to win WCup 2022 (100/1).

...If we scouted out lines, could probably find > 100/1. I think we'll have no problem qualifying.

Very young team, like a whole new roster. Injection of talent that USA has never seen b4. Guys playing in big clubs.

In a normal year, I think that price would be more like 50/1. Since we missed qualifying last time, price has bloated. Any reason we shouldn't be equal (or better) than Mexico?

Its crazy. President of Real is going to be the president of this.

    These are the founding clubs:

    AC Milan
    Arsenal FC
    Atlético Madrid
    Chelsea FC
    FC Barcelona
    FC Internazionale Milano
    Juventus FC
    Liverpool FC
    Manchester City
    Manchester United
    Real Madrid CF
    Tottenham Hotspur (lol)

If it happens the champions league is done and greed wins. It could change soccer for good.

This league is going to kick off in August 2021 so basically all the upcoming league matches mean nothing for the big teams

Well I see+8000 for the usa . +10000 for Mexico. Usa has a few good young players.

Take a flyer on denmark to win the Euro tournament. I put a bit on them a few months ago at+6600. I see it is lower now due to recent performances.

Haven't heard any commentary on this, but it seems like player pipeline could potentially be a problem...

English Football will be done if this happens, believe it. Those six clubs bring in a good chunk of the revenue. To many foreign owners that don't give a rats ass about the English history.

the UK govt is pretty pissy about this development
there's already chatter about them punishing these clubs by revoking their foreign players work visas. Which would leave quite a few of these clubs with just a few starters who would be allowed to play. This is truly a disgrace.

They could kick out Real, Chelsea and Man City from semis of Champions Laague this year. I wonder how would the books grade the futures?

Bottom line is that big clubs don't want to take risk of not making the champions league. Finish 5th and you lose millions. Superleague guarantees the money keeps rolling in.

Lol like FIFA and UEFA are any better. This league will suck though but it's more than likely a money grab from them imo and it'll be business as usual, well happen one day though.

World Cup without probably 3/4 of the top 100 players in the world not there including the two biggest by a mile? FIFA wouldn't have the balls. Not 100% the players even want to be a the next world cup anyway so probably not that bothered.

Yeah I hope they do something about it. Like you said it really is dishonor.

The Glazers are behind a lot of this I have no doubt.
