Played traveling soccer and high school and I don't remember anyone rolling around like pussies after getting fouled. Must be the thing to do in the pros. Soccer isn't nearly as popular as hockey, not even close. Now that the World Cup is over most will be ignoring soccer again for the next 4 years.

Purely from a betting perspective: If you don't like soccer than you will miss some really good opportunities to make good money on picking games, when you understand your craft then there is some really good value because you have the biggest pool and markets to bet on from a variety of different leagues. I am happy that I grew up with soccer as a kid

I agree, it's their temporary stadium. Next year they will play in a brand new stadium Allianz Field in St Paul.

I will post regularly now in the soccer forum or at least try to do it for the next season for the entire leagues in Europe.
I have switched my focus to MLS and the Latin America leagues lately, like them a lot, some teams don't play the best football but from a betting point I really like what I see especially defensively. Some teams just can't defend, which is always good for totals on the over

I think if you have a hockey team in your State you will care a bit here in America.. Especially if that is a 4 seasons State with snow and cold.. Hockey is a cold sport, Canada is hockey crazed for a reason I think.. Kids that grow up in snow and learn how to skate early on in life naturally should have an interest in Hockey..America has many cold weather States.. Canada is frozen over in winter to...

That's my take.. Now if your hockey team wins the Stanley Cup like it did with Kings here in SUNNY warm Los Angeles, California interest takes hold then also.. It's all over the news...

My take in a nut shell with Hockey interest...

There are pockets where soccer is more popular than hockey but if we are talking about the entire U.S. then the answer is no.

Love soccer (major European leagues and international play)...probably my second fav sport to follow besides NFL/NCAAF

NHL is cool too..especially live and playoffs

I hate how everyone is so defensive about the sports they like...Just follow and bet on whatever you want. All sports can be interesting if you have an open mind

I think NBA and Soccer will be top 2 sports in the US within like 30 years, hard to imagine but trends point that way ...football as we know it won’t even exist, probably some kind of passing only league, if tackle at all. Baseball has a problem with younger fans and hard to see NHL expanding much more

Every professional sport has their share of dives. NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL. We all know it.

And the MLS does not compare to the NHL... no matter what ESPN tries to tell you.

Other sports will have players occasionally flop to try and draw a penalty/foul. But whether it works or not, they get right back up.

No sport even remotely approaches soccer when it comes to players completely writhing around on the ground for extended periods of time, pretending to be in complete agony, after barely being touched.
