    slippery weather in football is advantage to WR's because they know where they are going and defense has to react - often slipping. I would think the same principles apply to a guy dribbling a soccer ball and a guy trying to defend...

    Both teams are playing in the same conditions so I don't really see either side having a clear advantage. If anything this weather affects game flow more than anything. Yes, it may cause defenders to slip up more often, but it also causes offensive inaccuracy. If the offense can't string together passes consistently there won't be much to defend.
