I dont know how many times punters can keep saying this but Cameroon should have enough here to fulfil their big name status and beat Gabon.
Cameroon come into this with a full squad and very little in the way of injuries to worry about. Mbia will miss out and Etoo has a niggle but apart from that, they are healthy and have recent head to head form on their side.
Both matches between these two ended in Cameroon wins and i dont see anything other than a cameroon win here. Paul Le Guen has done well to turn the team around after a shaky 2009 start, where they fell behind in world cup qualifying. I would argue that Gabon have been overachieving, taking good players and making them a very good team, so far we have not seen the big teams play good football yet but i think recent defeats to Cameroon will affect the mindset of Gabon and a win to nil looks very possible for Cameroon
This tournament is wacky man, very hard to cap. Definitely some dodgy stuff going on in Angola, what with the Togo bus shooting and strange results. I'm starting to feel there's great value on the dogs in the ACON.
