    WED APR 15th Picks

    Taking two home dogs at a double chance in Wed CL action....will add a play or two later from some lower leagues;

    1. PSG +0.5 @ 2.10/+110 (UEFA CL) 2 U

First the numbers, PSG unbeaten in Europe in 33 straight games. PSG at home in all competitions 23W 5D. head to head versus Barca 1W 3D 1L including last years 3-2 win in Paris and 3-1 loss in Barcelona. Barca is the better side on paper but I think they will gladly take back a 1-1 draw back to Spain. Ibra is out, but I still have to back the side that took out Chelsea playing at home.

    2. Porto +0.5 @ 2.16/+116 (UEFA CL) 2 U

Bayern on the road in Europe since 2014-- 3W 2L 2D. Porto at home in Europe 4W 1D with 15GF 2GA. Once again the numbers.... Porto at home coming into this game 10 straight wins 33GF 2GA. Bayern will advance and most likely destroy Porto back in Germany. Missing Robben, Ribery, Alaba & Schweinsteiger will hurt and once again I see a 1-1 outcome in the cards.

I would have taken PSG too, but it's not just Ibra. They're also missing Verratti (one of the most important PSG players), Luiz and Motta.

luiz is not a disaster since they have Marqinhos, them missing aurier aswell though means they need to play gregory wanderwiel on one of the flanks which could hurt them. then again barcelona is missing alves and neymar's form hasn't been great as of late, and they've been extremely reliant on messi essentially carrying the whole team.

PSG defense is the best when they play with 4brazilians and Marqinhos play as RB so Luiz absence is blow, just like Zlatan, Veratti and Motta Barcelona definietely WONT gladly take 1-1 under this circumstances...

luiz is in the squad chosen, and considering they have valencia this weekend in a extremely tight league as is, lucho will be more then happy taking a draw home for the return next week.

Luiz is not 100% anyway he can finish season after 10minutes If he play.Barca DNA is not "happy to take draw", they will surely smell blood and play for a win and outplay PSG who will settle for a draw.Draw 0-0, 1-1 will be great and probably max for PSG...

    ADDING

    3. Tondela OVER 2.5 @ 1.91/-110 (POR 2) 1 U

I should have grabbed the line yesterday when it was plus money, but there is still a tad of value on this total to dip my feet. Past 5 for Benfica b all go over 2.5, the past 5 for Tondela 4 go over 2.5. This season Benfica b averages a league high 3.26 goals per game. Tondela averages 2.39 for a combined 2.83 gpg.

''barca dna'' haha oh man you kids i swear. psg is still very dangerous, and barcelona's success this whole season has mostly come from the magic of one lionel messi, their creation capacity of their midfield has been laughable all season, they got essentially shut down in midfield this past weekend by malaga. psg is a whole hell of a lot more competent then malaga is.

so yeah, lucho will be satisfied so long as they get a draw with them back to camp nou. with laliga essentially on a tight rope and valencia being a far from a given w for them, of the home games left to play this season for barca it's one of the most important ones.

hate having my time wasted, waste someone elses.

No Madrid my "kids", you were pretty close lol.
" barcelona's success this whole season has mostly come from the magic of one lionel messi" Sure best defensive record is also credit of Messi just like controlling games with 65% and more ball possesions from "laughable midfielders"( not like Rabiot lol) ,maybe he also scored for Neymar 18goals including last free-kick and for Suarez in Clasico Besides he will play and they have Maxwell to stop him so stop dreaming about Barcelona without Messi when he will play.

They lost with Malaga almost 2months ago and won like 10games before and after that lol. PSG lost with Bordeaux or Bastia I should say that Barcelona is a lot more competent than Bastia

Guess who will be more tired next week after clash with Valencia and stop wasting my time they have great chance to kill this matchup in 1game

yeah, i meant sevilla, and controlling midfield isn't the same thing as creation, in terms of creation they've been reliant on messi all season, suarez didn't get going until after the winter break really and even then it's still messi that supplies him. iniesta have barely been able to put a foot right. i haven't mentioned even for a second the posibility of messi not playing, how bad is your reading comprehension kid?

all iv'e said is that due to barcelona's midfield's inability to create and supply for the top men, it's been messi working as a one-man midfield for most of the season. it's also been shown on several occasions throughout the season that when another team presses the midfield hard you essentially shut down barcelona which is what sevilla did this past weekend.

rabiot is one of the biggest midfield talents in the world btw child.

and to clarify, in terms of how barcelona will play this i do not see them taking any unecessery risks what so ever due to how deadly psg can be (and have been shown to be to barca especially at home in the past) given that valencia could give them hell next week the absolute worst case scenario for them would be to open up and try and end this in one game and lose today, considering they might not be the freshest next week when they have the return leg.

learn more about what? what does ''barcelona football philosophy'' (that's the total football concept btw made famous by cryuff) have to do with luis suarez walking through psg's defense twice, that's individual skill and has nothing to do with any ''gameplan''

aside from this the chances barcelona had were nothing to write home about at all really. 6 - 4 in shots on targets, 11 - 8 in total shots.

and nothing came from barcelona's midfield just like i said, all chances were individual skill involving messi, suarez and neymar. also how is rabiot a ''flop'' in any way? he's 20 years old and have made great stride all season getting more then a couple of motm awards aswell.

''smashed'' 6 - 4 in shots on target? you on bath salts kid? only difference is that barcelona made theirs count (which had everything to do with suarez being brilliant tonight)

Philosophy of Offensive football no "more then happy taking a draw home"

Barcelona outplayed PSG like scared kids in 1half nothing to do with Suarez who scored first goal after 67minutes.Gameplan PSG crushed and burned in 1half.Besides you said they depends only on Messi which was of course bullshit, Suarez was also more important which City away and Classico.

Who care about shoots when you see clear domination like this? Lol did you even watch the game or just stats and goals on youtube ? In stats shit shoot Rabiot from 30metres is more dangerous than Messi hitting post, becuase is on target...

    "
nothing came from barcelona's midfield" Lol nothing but outplaying oponent, do you even understand role of midfielders is? They don`t need to score goals and have assist every game.Rakitic had 96% passing accuracy just like Xavi, Busquets over 90% with very good defensive work-rate.

Rabiot is flop because he`s not good enough on highest level yet in opposite to Barcelona "
    laughable" midfielders.

LOL 3-0 after 80minutes, below 35% ball possesions for PSG playing at home in CL knockout stage is definition of smashed and worst game PSG since long time.

Barcelona have had 60%+ posession in every single game they've played against PSG (including the draws and losses) shot differences have also been similar. The difference yesterday was that their topmen's individual skill made theirs count, while the times Barcelona's defense got caught off PSG's couldn't make theirs count. It was Messi that started the attack for Suarez in the classico you knit, and he also supplied him against city (he also supplied Rakitic for the only goal they got at home against city, and set up Suarez for an additional two chances in that game). And this is because Barcelona doesn't have a ''playmaker'' that's effective in their midfield, they don't have a David Silva, or Cesc, a Couthinho or Modric. (you get the point, or does your less then intelligent childish mind need to be fed further information before it clicks into place?)

I haven't critiqued there defensive capabilities, only in terms of offense and yesterday barca's midfield was as ineffective as most other games played this season until Xavi came in and he and Messi and Busq started doing their triangles.

So Rabiot is a flop because he can't carry a midfield on his own carrying the role of 2 cdm's @ 20 years old? That logic is so broken child that's it's not even funny. and rakitic is 27, busquets is 27, iniesta is 30+ xavi is 30+ at 22 he'll have surpassed rakitic, at 25-26 if he continues to develop he'll have passed both xavi and busq aswell, he's stepped up numerous times this season when psg have struggled with injuries and made game changing type decisions out on the pitch.

You see, barcelona still to this day play ''total football'' a concept based on passing and every player being able to carry the role of another position (for short periods) the only player with a set role is the goalkeeper which means they shouldn't on paper only be reliant on their three topmen (messi, suarez, neymar) to make things happen for them, but way to often this season that has been the case, and that's the critique that lucho has been getting all season, that when teams pressure barca's midfield the supply up the pitch gets shut off, and if it wasn't for messi working as a 1-man midfield and playing out of his skin for most of this season there is no way barcelona would be where they are at now in the table.

Close to 60% at Nou Camp and close to 70% on away game is difference silly boy.PSG played the worst game of many year`s. Of course they have top individual skills only idiot is suprised that one of the Barcelona player beat another in 1on1 situation and it wasnt Messi.

Lol yeah forget about Alves great asisst and Suarez touch, all about Messi Suarez was key man in all 3 most important games this year for Barcelona so you can stop masturbating with Messi he have world class player around him.

On his own ? LOL he should start working good with his teammates.Boy was lost, not even Europa League level.Dont give a f. who he will surpass is about that game comprende ? Besides you have to be delusional if you think he will ever reach level Xavi or Iniesta who won everything in football.

Most of the teams have one or 2-3 key players and will struggle a bit without them, "total football" with Messi who doesnt play a lot in defence is nonsense most of the time without ball he is just walking, there are much harder working players in Barcelona he is just most gifted.

you quite clearly have no real grasp about football, and how different formations work, since you keep barking on the ''posession'' aspect, there are teams who have their entire playstyle built around allowing the opponent to hold the ball, and then relying on counters, dortmund for instance won bundesliga playing this type of ''blitzkrieg'' football, of course a team like barca who is centered around total football is going to have a greater part of posession against pretty much every team they come up against. but it's really about what you can create while having posession, and it wasn't like barcelona created a myriad of chances and outshot psg in yesterdays game (or any of the other played between the teams) by a great margin, the difference was in the quality of the finishing ability between the two sides.

and my main point is that it wasn't a ''team'' effort involved in any of the three goals they scored, which is weak from a team centered around a total football concept, since what happens when those three topmen aren't at their best for a game, and midfield is expected to be able to supply the balls needed to get the w? a w becomes a d or at worst a l.

as for rabiot, it's quite clear your animosity towards him is on a borderline personal level, probably sad because your favorite team wasn't able to purchase him, or because he was involved in giving your favorite team the D when they faced psg. because if you can't see the potential and quality he already posesses then i really do not know what to tell you kid, most sought after midfield talent two seasons running in europe but i'm sure all those scouts are wrong and you yourself who's prolly got two left feet and can't even shoot let alone dribble is on point here with your ''assessment''

it was still messi that picked up the ball in midfield (as he's done pretty much all season) and supplying it further, and you quite clearly haven't really got an idea of what 'total football' even is.

Did you even watch the game or just curling ? You`re "analyze" before game was shit but claiming that Barcelona didn`t dominate and outplaying PSG is even more shitty.

Yeah If you expect 212 passes before every goal its kinda disappointing.

I don`t give a f. about Rabiot but if you are laughing mutch better midfielders from Barcelona and boy is one of the worst player on the pitch dropped from Blanc it`s pathetic. Maybe you are in love with french players like Mangala and Rabiot Rabiot is worth 5mlnE according to transfermarkt not 35.When(IF) he will be star then maybe you can blow him, right know he is just a boy comparing to Barcelona players.

If you think total football is about running 6km only bit more than goalkeeper like Messi did last year vs ATM in CL again u have no clue about game.
