    Wednesday's Picks

    Leeds United v Ipswich Town
    England Championship, 19.45 GMT/14.45 ET/13.45CT

    Selection: Total Match Goals - Under 2.5 Goals - Odds 7/10, 1.7, -143

At home this season, Leeds are the second lowest in the 24 team division for goals in their games, with only 5 games of the 17 played going over 2.5 goals. Leeds haven't really been a big team for goals scored, with their 34 games producing just 36 goals, and only 9 of their players have scored this season, 34 in total with the 2 other goals coming from striker Noel Hunt, who has actually since transferred to tonight's opponents Ipswich Town. Of the 9 players who have scored, their top scorer Mirco Antenucci has just 8 goals. Another of their top scorers, Rodolph Austin who scored at the weekend and has 3 season goals in total, has been ruled out for 3 weeks. Leeds don't offer much on the attack themselves.

Ipswich have been a bit more trigger happy in front of goal, scoring a total of 54 goals in 34 matches. Although, they have a much more modest figure in terms of being involved in games that go over 2.5 goals, only being involved in 9 of 17 games away from home that have 3 or more goals. Combining home games into that, the scoring looks even less impressive, having just 16 of 34 games go over. In terms of the Tractor Boys' goal threat, it seems to come from one man only, as Daryl Murphy has scored 21 league goals this season. Should Murphy have an off night, Ipswich lack 'Plan B' options to turn to for goals.

Since Neil Redfearn has taken over at Leeds, the defence has really been shored up and tight cagey games have become the recent norm at Elland Road (let's forget about the 3-2 against Watford on Saturday because we all know how crazy Watford games are!), and if they mark Murphy out of the game, expect a low scoring game.

I suggest the under is taken here.

Well that escalated quickly...all going to plan for 71 minutes then BAM 7 minutes of pure madness. Disaster, 2-1 and a loss.
