Betting On A Winner vs Betting To Advance

I don't see the reasoning on betting a team to advance pre-match, If you like Brazil for example, bet the PK at the same odds and if they win the game in regulation , done deal . If it's tied and goes to extra time , you can rebet on your team to advance after being able to watch the play for 90' , see who is getting the chances, see if the refs are fair, etc. And if your team loses in regulation , you would have lost either way .

What you don't want to do is see your team dodging bullets for 90+ minutes, with your money tied up, and they lose in ET

Exactly the strategy I'm using and can reevaluate after regulation if I want to stay with it.

How are you getting PK at the same odds?

Dnb/PK always correlates with "to qualify"

    No it doesnt.

For example, argentina to qualify is 8/11 on paddy and argentina pk is 8/13

Well, there obviously can be differences because of public pounding the spread more than 'to qualify'. Average across all books for argentina pk is 1.63 and qualify is 1.67, hardly much different..
