    goalkeepers generally choose where to dive at random during a penalty kick and hope to get lucky, this guy is so fast he can actually wait to see where the ball is going before diving, so he always dives on the right side which makes it very likely that he'll make a save

    Typical American soccer know-how. The guy keeps for Newcastle and is shit. Tall GK jumping to the left all the time - odds say he has a good chance to make a couple of saves.
    Leave it to Bryan Ruiz to miss - he was shit in Fulham and was shit all game for CR.

    Yes, the element of surprise was a big part. Definitely effects mental state of pentaly taker which already is a high pressure situation anyway. Also, quite simply Cillesen is smaller than Krul...Krul is a few inches taller and thicker so a bigger presence in goal. Cillesen is also a lot less experienced...he only jus became ajax first team GK last season so would of been a a lot of pressure for him

    This has always been Krul's game and almost all of the tall goalies.

    It's not the keeper that won it for the flopping Dutch, it was the CR players not knowing the first rule of penalties against tall goal keepers - ALWAYS SHOOT IN THE MIDDLE!

    Anyhow, pissed off because now I have to watch fuckin Robin and van Persei diving all through another game. People from Holland should be ashamed of themselves for cheering the biggest dolphins in soccer!
