    FC Barcelona v Atletico Madrid - Champions League

    This is a preview I've made for FC Barcelona v Atletico Madrid - Champions League

    In their domestic competition, Atletico Madrid occupies the 1st position with 76 points for 31 games played (24W, 4D, 3L) winning their last game on Saturday 29/03/2014 against Athletic Bilbao (1-2) while Barcelona takes the 2nd position in La Liga with 75 points for 31 games played (24W, 3D, 4L) and had their last match disputed on Saturday 29/03/2014 when the club managed to defeat Espanyol (0-1).

    Barcelona hosted Atlético 105 times in all competitions with a record of 60 home wins, 19 Atlético victories and 26 draws. For the last 5 head to head encounters:

    11/01/ 2014 - Spain – Primera Division (LIGA) - Atletico Madrid - FC Barcelona (0-0);
    28/08/ 2013 - Spain – Super Cup (ESPS) – FC Barcelona – Atletico Madrid (0-0);
    21/08/2013 – Spain – Super Cup (ESPS) – Atletico Madrid – FC Barcelona (1-1);
    12/05/2013 - Spain – Primera Division (LIGA) - Atletico Madrid - FC Barcelona (1-2);
    16/12/2012 - Spain – Primera Division (LIGA) - FC Barcelona – Atletico Madrid (4-1);

    Four-time winners Barcelona are competing in seventh consecutive UEFA Champions League quarter-final. Overall, this is their 16th European Cup quarter-final and they have a record of 13 wins and two defeats. Atlético have not been at this stage since 1996/97 and overall, their quarter-final record is three wins and two defeats from five appearances.

    Their last 3 matches finished in a tie and I don't think there are going to be to many goals scored.
    Any thoughts?

    Barca surely need a win here as they are an average away team and Atletico is really strong home team. Refs also tend to award 50-50 decisions to Barca at Camp Nou. Hard to go against Barca here.

    If I have to pick here, Bayern is a lot safer imo.

    Diego Costa is set to miss the first leg of Atletico Madrid's Champions League tie against Barcelona after leaving training early on Monday.
    Atletico coach Diego Simeone has conceded it will be "difficult" for Costa to play on Tuesday after the Brazil-born striker completed just 10 minutes of training before limping off the pitch.

    Could just be Simeone playin mind games

    My bet: Atletico Madrid (+3 Handicap) will kick more corners than Barca @1.80.

    Enjoy!

    If you don't bet Barcelona ML you don't know anything about gambling or odds

    Barcelona at home won 9 of last 10 , and last 6 league games at home vs. Atl Madrid

    Last time vs. they played to a 0-0 draw in a cup game , and Messi missed a penalty at the end of the game

    Atl. hasn't beaten Barcelona at home since 2006

    Barcelona odds are low. Atletico is a complete different team comparing it with previous years. They are now solid and fast with a really good coach. The last THREE games between this 2 teams was THREE draw with 1 match played in Barcelona home stadium.

    Over 4.5 bookings @1.7 is the play here.
    Against Atletico Barca should play in American Football suits.
