    EP36's Euroleague Hoops Thursday/Friday

    Trying to keep learning about the Euro teams. Not a ton of form to go on as most have just started their domestic leagues, but going to make some plays with a full slate on-tap today after a few games started things yesterday. Probably will play mostly 2nd halves if my book continues to post them today (Betonline) and the Euroleague website works better today. The live box scores did not work for one of the games yesterday and 2nd half plays are all stats based for me. Fade. Follow. Pass. Do you.

    I probably don't have opinions on any full games I post, they will just be plays based on a little research I did, but I don't claim to know shit from shit. This thread likely shall prove that.





    PLAY #1 [10.17.13] BUDIVELNIK KIEV-FENERBAHCE ULKER OVER 155.5 [-110]
    These two teams played in a Rixos Cup match in the preseason that featured 164 points total. The player rotations were certainly different in that game than they will show today, but the pace/tempo hopefully should reflect something similar. Both come in off monster offensive games to open their domestic campaigns. Fener dumped 100 pts on Mersin, while Budivelnik Kiev tallied 98 in their opener.

    Panathinaikos are the Greek champs traveling to Lithuania. The home side have already played about a half dozen games through EL qualification + their domestic league. The Greeks have just one regular season game in hand, a disappointing loss to Olympiakos in which both team struggled to shoot. 55-45 final. Thinking the Greeks show some more rust and the excitement of the home crowd keeps Rytas in this one if they can adapt and play what is likely a half court pace.

    This one was almost done after just three quarters, so at least this starts out well. Where she goes now ...
