In a two-game situation, anything can happen. But one thinks Uruguay has had a more grueling schedule and has faced tougher opponents than Honduras. So on a technical and situational basis, I'd pick Uruguay.

    Uruguay vs Costa Rica.

US broke Ticos' hearts 5th minute of stoppage time (it was legit 5 minutes, not Fergie time).

I'll make Uruguay -220 to advance.

    Demize,
Honduras is in the World Cup, no playoff.

Uruguay will play Costa Rica in the playoff.

Horrific ending for Costa Rica as they were practically celebrating, US gets a corner, Bornstein unmarked header for the draw 2-2.

Both teams have 16 points but first tiebreaker is goal differential. Honduras +6, Costa Rica 0.

Yes, it's now Costa Rica vs. Uruguay.

Hard to tell but I'd play 1H draw in the first game between them.

Thanks LB , yeah Uruguay wont do shit in the Cup but at least we would do better than Costa rica, hell costa rica shouldnt even be allowed to play these games after giving up a 2 goal lead , they should get Panama or something

one thing some of you may not know - while Uruguay has better players and would definitely be favored on a neutral field, Estadio Saprissa is a notoriously difficult place to play-fans right on top of the field, humid/hot, and with a plastic grass field.

Do you think any of the Uruguayan players have EVER played a match on turf? Teams like USA/MEX (in the case of MEX, not in this cycle) routinely get whupped in that hell hole of a field...

Costa Rica could win by 2 goals or more at home...it's that big an advantage. Can Uruguay win by 3 at home?
