Pep guardiola to become new coach of ac milan?

Pep Guardiola has reportedly met with Adriano Galliani to discuss the possibility of a move to Milan, but the Italian club have denied that a meeting took place.

Guardiola is understood to have travelled to Milan with his brother and representative, Pere Guardiola, and former assistant Manuel Estiarte.

The 41-year-old will apparently be present to watch Milan’s Champions League match against Malaga on Tuesday evening.

But Milan and Galliani quickly moved to deny that Guardiola is set to replace Massimiliano Allegri as coach of the club.

A statement from the club effectively quashed the speculation: "AC Milan denies the news appeared in some media for a few minutes relating to an alleged meeting between the Deputy Chairman and CEO Adriano Galliani and family or attorneys of Mr Guardiola."

Galliani, meanwhile, is quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport as saying: “We have never thought of changing coaches. Allegri has a contract again next year."

    Anyone believe this?

nah Guardiola will be off to city after they hired the ex Barca Director txiki begiristain. The way city are performing this season it will be hard to see mancini last beyond next summer, failing that Bayern Munich might come sniffing around for Guardiola to replace the outgoing heynckes at the end of the season, milan seem like a long shot, there are little to no resources for Guardiola to work with, at least with City and Munich there is a strong infrastructure and resources Guardiola needs to succeed.

Players and coaches seem to interchange more smoothly between La Liga and Serie A. Pep did play in Serie A in the past as well. Wouldnt be surprised.

A lot have been made on City this year despite the fact they are only 2 pts off the top of the league and are undefeated. The stuttering CL campaign was not expected but Mancini never had a good record in that tourney. Interesting to see how that unfolds because City had a long history of switching managers quickly and I'm not sure if they want to return to that model especially with the whole financial fair play being regulated soon, they will not want to do a roster overhaul which would likely happen if the manager is switched. I think we will have to see how they fare against the top 4 in the upcoming weeks to get a better picture.

There was just a rumor recently that Guardiola told his reps that he prefers to coach in england or germany.

only because the corruption is out exposed in the open, match fixing goes on in england, holland, germany and pretty much every league, only they choose to be more discrete about it

His brother was in Milan last night with Galliani. I think he's either going to Milan or Chelsea.
