    Dive by Danish goalie CLASSIC

    Perfectly executed

Kraut came as close as possible to him without actually touching him

    Great strained look on face

    Extra points for loud yelp

    A+++ stuff

    Love soccer

No, turned it on for 5 minutes and that's what I saw

Have to watch only 3 minutes to see a dive... you think you have to watch all 90 minutes to catch one ????

Why turn it on at all? You make a bitchy thread like this everyday you think you would learn to not watch something that you have repeatedly said you don't like. Or maybe you're just an idiot. I'll go with the latter

Have you ever gone to a professional soccer match? Pretty fun actually. As much diving as there is, it's a pretty rough sport.

Diving (embellishing or going to ground with contact) is often necessary to draw a foul, as with NBA and NHL, but the groveling and wallowing that happens after every single one is what separates it from any other sport in the world. NBA/NHL they draw a foul and move on, not in soccer

It's really a pathetic culture for this to be widely accepted and unchallenged. Ref needs to say get up immediately pussy or you will be taken off, instead they actually go check to see if they are alright as if they suffered a genuine injury

If your only goal is not to get injured, which sport would you most like to suit up for at the professional level?

    - Boxing
    - Soccer
    - Football
    - Rugby
    - Baseball
    - Hockey
    - Basketball
    - MMA
    - Tennis
    - Chess
    - Badminton

Congrats, only tennis, badminton, and chess come before soccer.

Have you ever playe either one on a semi-competitive (or higher) level? I have played both (baseball for 11 years), and it's not even close.

In baseball, contact is rare. In soccer, it's the norm.

Correct but 98% of the time you end up getting a small sprain, or tripped up and fall to the ground harmlessly.

What's sad is at the amateur level there is very little diving if you're not playing with any Latin-derived people. There is nothing inherently wrong with the game, just the ubiquitous diving at the top level.

    Sad that fans tolerate it.

Even more hilarious that the game attracts all these tough guys from rough parts of the country, and these types have no problem with all the fake crying.

How come hooligans don't spurn soccer and go to rugby matches???

Because at soccer matches, they don't have to worry about players kicking their ass on the field.

What makes me laugh every time is the pleading by players who are actually standing up. You can do this at home:

    - Extend your arms forward and put your palms up

    - Move your palms together so the sides of your pinkies are touching

    - Keeping your hands touching, start pointing all of your fingers at the ground

    - Make your best muppet face

Voilla! You're a Southern European soccer player!!
