    I am a firm believer that both teams have a shot, Italy has talented players just like spain does. I just want to know why, I want to know if there is anything I haven't taken in consideration when I analize this game.

    Italy is my darkhorse. Spain is gonna havea tough time with key guys out. I think this game is gonna be tight with italy squeezing by 1-0 like swiss did at wcup.

    well spain is a lock...mark my words..its a major fact that some key players at midfiled and offense play together at barcelona and need no time to tie together..ok...villa is missing but we are talking about a team that anyone can score...torres can score,giorente can score,perdo can score,silva can score,iniesta can score,mata can score,fabergas can score and hell...even ramos can score :P Offcourse pyol is a big loss,but my point is that if spain recieve one goal.they will score 2 or 3...if they recieve 2 goal,they will score 3 or 4..and so on...

    Guys, this is a TOURNAMENT, not a league or a friendly game, so there are 3 games in the group stage. Every team won't throw themselves all attack or all defense in the opening 1st game in the group because if you loose 1st game you still have 2 games remaining and possible 6pts to win. Usually 4pts is enough to get you thru the group stage. Chill out with overs in the 1st stage of group games, everyone is checking, sampling and examing their opponents.
    If we talk about Spain vs Italy I wouldn't be surprised with the draw. Although Italy is in bad shape and have internal problems regarding selling games by some players in the team, they're extremely experienced in such tournaments. They won't fold that easily.

    There's merit in LB's Italy ML pick. Consider these:

    1. Reigning champs are notorious at stumbling esp in first games.
    2. Italy have nothing to lose. Pressure is on Spain.
    3. Italy are woeful and out of form. Spain will take them lightly.
