Lewandowski has had a great year but, although I do see Poland moving to the quarter finals, they won't score near enough goals for him to compete for the top goalscorer title.

Poland will not even qualify and if they do they will finish 2nd then go on to play Holland or Germany i can not see them scoring past either of them.
We know that to win this you need to score around 5 goals. So i pick a Spanish player to score more goals than any other team in the group stages vs Italy who let Russia score 3 past them last week, Ireland and Croatia who are not best of teams. then they will play france or England when they win there group another 2+ goals. The only thing that worry's me is Spain has so many good players that get in a goal scoring position that you cant pick a player.. But that being said ill still go on and properly pick David Silva +4000

    Silva? Really?

I've been thinking about picking a Spanish or German striker as topscorer. But who will even be Spains primary striker?! Llorente? Torres? I have no clue.

And in case of the Germans, everyone I know picks Gomez. They forget though that Klose has made most of the quali goals for them, and he is fit again.... Tough choices.

yes he always seem to find himself in the right place at the right time, he's a very attacking player and will start all games. Spain will swap strikers round every game. as for Germans they have a hard group that's why i didn't include them.

Nice! Placed the same bet a couple of days ago. Lewandowski was an absolute beast this year in Bundesliga. Poland is likely to advance to the next round and definitely has an outside shot of beating whoever is going to be the runner up in group b (most likely Holland).

As far as the German strikers are concerned: Löw loves Klose, he is the number one option. So it is him or nobody if you want to back a German player. Gomez is not betable at +1000ish as he is not going to play much.

Spain will have a hard time as everyone will play defense v them. I have italy beating spain in game 1 or at worst a draw.

I'm a little concerned for them since they don't seem to score goals easily. Against Spain, Croatia and Ireland (the last two play very defensive) you need to have a Luca Toni type of striker...

From what I've seen, the Top Scorer's country is usually the finalist/champion... semi-finalist at worst.

Poland to finish TOP 3 ? Don't think so.
Then he really needs to have multiple goal group games, which I doubt as well.

I enjoy these kind of predictions but this one's really a toughie.

Any dumbass can score a hat-trick and there you have it, he's already in a top-scorers race. Probably even a winner.
Cause it's the Euro, not the World Cup where you have an extra game (1/8 final)
Here you are given 3 games + maybe 1 or 2 at best, well... otherwise means you have to reach the final and for a country that isn't Spain or Germany it's almost, almost impossible. So yeah, Im thinking it's definitely someone out of the TOP 5 countries... Spain, Ger, Hol, Eng, Ita maybe who the f knows. I like Van Persie, Huntelaar, Gomez... well wouldn't rule Ronaldo out either.

Benzema crossed my mind also, but France won't make the final and probably won't score too many. He has netted two though until now against Estonia.

Ogucci; Huntelaar is a sub, since van Persie has gained the striker position.

Correct! And I still highly doubt he's gonna miss most of the action. I can't tell what exactly Van Marwijk is going to do about it but I'm almost certain Huntelaar's gonna be on the scorers list. At least in his team.

As a Dutchy myself I certainly hope so. The Van Persie choice has been criticized by almost all 16 million Dutch people, lol.

Only in the Netherlands a striker like Van Persie can be topic of a debate...

    Haha, ONLY IN HOLLAND.

Huntelaar with 30 goals in Bundesliga, Van Persie with 30 in the EPL and gets named the PFA player of the year. Both players had a terrific season...no wonder they're debating lol

Poland to win an important tournament is unfixable. As far as i'm concerned we're not playing U-12 Hongkong badminton team every stage.

Call me crazy but I think Poland makes it to the semi-finals and I think Lewandowski will be a huge part of that success. Great value bet. I also like Benzema +1600

best team at Group A is Russia.
Poland has a chance to go through, but the QF is their top.

No way Lewandovsky wins this prize
