That can be done with a simple home victory today as Japan has a vastly superior goal differential. Uzbekistan will be without five regulars for the trip, so they likely will be playing to keep this match tight and avoid embarrassment. Still, Japan has made it clear they want the win here and are taking this "dead" match seriously to get a seed in the World Cup. If they score early, they could roll up a big number and Uzbekistan had some issues stopping South Korea in a friendly last week that they lost 4-2.
