    Saturday's [2/4] Ninja Plays

[Africa Cup of Nations] Zambia-Sudan Over 2 [-120]
Zambia definitely took it a bit easy in their final group stage match with Guinea knowing that a draw was good enough to see them through as the top of the group. They popped a goal late for a 1-0 win. It was their first clean sheet in three matches and they tallied their 5th goal. Sudan has scored four goals in their last two matches after being blanked by the Ivory Coast 1-0 in their opener. They have conceded four goals. With Sudan not having kept a clean sheet, it would seem likely Zambia will get on the board and Sudan should have their chances to counter. Katongo for Zambia and El Tahir for Sudan, those are your danger men. Both have two goals so far in this competition and likely will have their fingerprints on this match.

[England Premier] Queens Park Rangers-Wolves Over 2.5 [-120]
Cisse and Zamora could debut for QPR as the home side look to amp up their goal output from their new transfers. QPR comes in on the heels of a three goal performance against Wigan last time out. QPR have just two clean sheets in eleven home matches and none in their last six where they have given up multiple goals in four of those. Wolves have scored and conceded in four straight on the road and have just one clean sheet on the road this season in EPL play. They have scored in all but three of their road matches. QPR won the first meeting on the road, 3-0 and with their new attacking options likely to be in the fold, I think we'll see some goals in this one.

just to add, I know at least Cisse has debuted already. Your post says, may debut ... cisse scored a goal in his first match already, last week.

I think we can get a 3rd in this Zambia match. That red card opened it up quick.

[Africa Cup of Nations] Ivory Coast-Equatorial Guinea Under 2.5 [-125]
Ivory Coast have yet to concede a goal through three matches. They have also not been overly punishing offensively with two goals in each of their last two matches, but one of those was an own goal. Guinea have scored twice and conceded just twice. With everything on the line here in the quarterfinals and pressure on Ivory Coast to produce, this may wind up being a very tight match and I think thusly, low scoring. Stranger things have happened - Guinea being here to begin with perhaps - but it's hard to see Guinea being the 1st team to crack Ivory Coast's solid defense without something strange happening. I'd expect Guinea will play it close to the vest, perhaps content to take this match scoreless as long as possible to see if Ivory Coast tightens up under the pressure.

Thanks guys. It helps to be around a computer all day long and need something to do to fill the gaps at work or at home when the lady is away.

[Spain La Liga] Barcelona-Real Sociedad Over 3.5 [-106]
Big total here, but always warranted at Camp Nou - especially with what should be an angry Barca club that has played somewhat flat by their standards lately. Could be the number of matches with Copa Del Rey again on tap mid-week, but at home, this club can ill-afford to not show up and flatten a mid-table club like Real Sociedad. Lineups confirmed and Barca does have some rotation of their squad, but most of the regulars are there including Messi and Fabregas. The home side has five straight at home with four goals scored or better and that is good for eight of their ten home matches overall. Sociedad have a few injury concerns, but should be bouyed by their earlier result at home against Barca - a 2-2 draw - and seeing Real Betis score the first two goals at Camp Nou in Barca's last home match. Seen a lot of whining about the match time temp from the Spanish sides today who are playing late - probably around freezing with some stiff wind. Don't know if that really hurts teams that much, but something to know. Barca certainly could do this whole thing themselves. If Sociedad scores, this damn well should hit.

I got a bad feeling Ivory Coast is going to bend over here in the end and let Guinea score once to save face as the hosts of the tournament.

Or they score a third. Damn it. My decision was IC handicap or under. Did not think they would score three and was thinking 1-0 was possible. They're too good.
