I doubt it, playing on home soil.

Lots of young players in this squad and two more club seasons under their belt come 2014.

Key players like Ganso and Neymar will be moving to Europe and play against better competition every week and improving. The attacking part of this team is still so young and finding their feet in this tournament.

Way to early to write them off in 2014.

TSO, I am considering going for Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay outright winners. One of them should hit as both Brazil and Argentina are playing like crap. What's your view on that?

I would add Colombia to the fight! And may take Uruguay out of the fight so far they're also not impressive!

    Chile, Paraguay IMO looking good!

Very well organized! and playing good!

Thanks man! I really love Forlan and Suarz, and I think they are trying to play Wenger's one touch football which is great to watch. They do lack finishing, and form. Your are right!

I still can't look past Argentina or Brazil for outright winner.

They are so strong and a win in this next game can spark them onward.

I agree with you on skill based, but my problem is do the players really motivated to win the tournament? I think smaller teams are more motivated and more organised coming into this tournament. Look at Greece for example. Argentina and Brazil are just bad this year, when was the last time both teams drew their 2 opening games in the history.

From what I've seen from Argentina and Brazil, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see another team like Colombia, Paraguay or Uruguay winning the tournament.. But Argentina and Brazil will probably improve in the knock-out stage so I don't really know what to expect

no they wont, either Brazil or Argentina wins, most likely Argentina...

dont waste your money on any futures options for this competition.... even Argentina wont cover probably against Costa Rica, just scratch a win..

Thanks TSO, I went with Chile and Brazil relatively small bets outright winner. I still not convince about Argentina. Maybe Brazil will become right at the knocked out stage.

If Argentina is a likely winner, that means they have to win their game against Costa Rica, so all in on Argentina @ 1.2?

Germany will win the world cup, they were unfortunate last time against Spain and have younger players.
I think Spain have peaked, however a European team has never won in South America so it wil be tough.

It will be either Germany or Brazil but I prefer Germany to win. Brazil is any better than Argentina without home advantage.

maybe Brazil have home advantage but even without it I bet that they'll still get the world cup..
