    Tactical Preview: CL Final

    http://www.zonalmarking.net/2011/05/...tical-preview/

Look to see if Hernandez is starting in the line-up for the 1st half, if not the under should be pretty solid to start.

Interesting read, let me know what you think.

In my opinion Barcelona will play as they always do. A 4-3-3, with Messi as a forward but going back to help midfield if they have problems trying to move the ball and keep position. If this happens, a 4-4-2 will be used until they recover position and barça goes back to it's natural state: 4-3-3.
Moreover, if you guys watched Copa del Rey final, Alves was told not to do his normal role of running the whole field up and down the entire match opening back spaces which would no-doubt be taken by Manchester's players. He will be told again to stay back and cover spaces. so a more defensive play from barcelona trying to keep possession.
Puyol and Abidal will play 100% sure. Although abidal might not play the entire match.

Ferguson will absolute sure use Chicharito. It is the main advantage manU has against barcelona's slow defence (they are fast while running, but slow to accelerate) and he will surely have some clear scoring chances the firts 15 minutes if Barça can't stop him.

IMO: ManU to win the match at +300 has real value but my heart is in Barcelona and can't bet against it...

    Masch centre back???

Big games like this are often decided on single mistake by a player, so Hernandez scoring poacher goals is ideal for the final.
O'shea will start at rightback IMO. I truely think SAF will go with Hernandz upfront with Rooney playing behind the striker, or Park mid with Ronney wide supporting Hernandz. My take.

Not a game to put big money on,definitely, that been said, great value on Man Utd ML. Its more of a 50/50 call from me. If you like a bit of risk, take under2.5. Good luck!

After careful consideration, I am going for value bets here in total 2 units.

    United-United
    draw-united
    Man utd ML
    Draw
    1-0 to barca
    1-0 to united
    2-1 to united
    1-1 draw
    under 4.5

    First scorer:
    Vidic
    Hernandz
    Xavi

Good luck! I think we are in for a surprise tonight!

I really hope he done, he's the weakest link in our team, he has to many rash tackles, could se him get turned over.

pretty much what pickapprentice said: "this match is 50/50"

Barca will dominate possession, but they are playing against the 2nd most intelligent team in the world. It all comes down to who gets the first lucky chance, most likely it will be Barca, but if United steal a goal they play twice as hard in defense to hold on to it.

I think United +0.5 or under 2.5 goals should be the play.

Barcelona playing monkey in the middle with man U running around chasing pass after pass until they get dizzy and concede. Man U playing from behind will score a goal, but by the time that happens it may already be too late. One thing to watch out for is red cards. Could we see another red card in a final? Would be tragic, but when Barcelona is playing it seems to happen more often than not. I like Man U, but I think Barcelona is just too good to beat.

From everything I've heard, been listening to a ton of BBC radio, Hernandez will start. And that makes the most sense, Fergie has great confidence in him. I just can't see Man U changing for anybody. I think the best style is what Arsenal did, attack Barca as much as possible. I'm not playing the game but for me tomorrow is bigger than the Super Bowl (my father just rolled over in his grave with that comment)

Really hoping for a Man U win, I wasn't the biggest Man U fan but am a huge Chicharito fan. I really like how this Man U team is that, a TEAM. Barca while I love watching them play turned me off in the first leg against Real in CL.

man utd froze last cl final after conceding the 1st, they have to make sure they dont do it again. as gary linekar says its barca's to lose.

hernandez Has to start for united, he tracks back way more than berbatov and every man is needed.

its not 50/50 because barca have better players. if it was 50/50 the bookies wouldnt have man utd at 3/1.

Interesting read, although I don't agree with all of it.

I'm expecting Utd to fall back hard and try to hit Barça on the counter attack. The team that scores first will effectively shut the game down and win.

Even though they're both juiced, Under 2,5 and Under 1 first half are the best plays tonight imo.

SBR sportsbook has a nice prop for the time of the first goal scored btw. After 27th minute is @EV, which is also a good bet.

The under looks too easy. Going over and while it hurts me to say it, Reds will win.

Barca not the strongest in D and prone to errors. They will hold the midfield but Mancs will attack fast and hard on the counter and they can do it better than anyone else.

Taking the over (small) and Mancs to win. Also small play correct score 2-1 mancs. GL - let's hope it's a good 'un

Barca will control the midfield. Carrick/Park/Giggs are no match for Intiesta and Xavi in terms of controlling the game. The question then becomes what will Barca do with all the possession they get. Carrick will be Messi's shadow this game. The crux of the game will be Vidic and Rio making sure that a player or the ball my get past them, but never both at the same time. If united can deal with the pressure from possession, Rooney, Chicharito, Park are explosive enough to create chances on counter attack. But it all starts at the back.
