Correct .. I personally do not believe that this particular game was fixed ...

There are of course fixed games out there - but they generally involve irregular betting patterns ... this one as far as I know did not ... and watching the game last night everything blew up - emotions were running very high (with the red cards) - concentration was running very low (anger and frustration) and it was primed for something like this to happen.

Are some games fixed -- sure they are ... but not nearly as many as some people on this forum would have you believe.

Sampdoria was a fix. The odds were so shit on the draw, the fix was in. Was surpised it ended a draw. Thought they would try and make it not so obvious.

Not everyone is in on a fix, you can't make it obvious otherwise you couldn't get away with it. I've seen plenty of these types of games get screwed in the last minute. 1-1 at the 80th min. this game was pretty standard until someone got an easy chance in the last minute.

If you're serious about understanding this world I recommend you google Declan Hill. The #1 goal is to hide a fixed game from the public, but it's impossible to hide it in the market place.

In stoppage time no less. Having played as a goalie in soccer for 12+ years, I have certainly had times where a shot was so well placed that diving for it is pointless. If you have a good defense, they understand that - the fans may want to see some effort, but at some point there's just no reason. In that last shot, the placement (going far post, catching it in the side net, etc) there was virtually nothing the keeper could have done. Especially with the pressure coming in, if he had cut the shooter's angle he might have had a chance, however, he would have let the man crashing the back have a wide open angle on it.

Chance things happen. Certainly we've all seen crazy ends to games, just cause it didn't go your way doesn't necessarily mean it was a fix (although as we've seen before it could have been).

i saw that happen before i was on the game and there was no bussines for a team to score anymore they where up 2-0 but yet in added time they score 3 more within 4 minutes to finish 5-0 ******* goalie just stood and look at the ball pass by him last two times, nothing new it looked fixed too but then again he was not expecting it, fycking brazilizn soccer, thats why i like spanish and portugal soccer they look most legit for now

You don't fix games with two goals in the very last minute because everything is possible and they don't have enough time to adjust any mistakes.
It's like fixing a basketball game with a buzzer beater for 0.5 point - ridiculous.
Fixed games don't look suspicious at all, having few goals in the 60-70 minute, slow tempo, easy going game only few people involved usually the goalie, two defenders and one-two midfielders.

The goalie or defenders didn't even move to try and stop the goals. Not even flinch. The goalie could have easily stopped the 1st Cesena goal. The gap left open was rediculous.
