    SBR Odds Update

    Attention SBR Community,

Over the past several months, the engineering team has completed a full rebuild of the SBR odds platform, shifting away from legacy technology that powered the old SBR odds and onto a new pipeline that will drastically improve performance, stability, and the up-time of odds on site.

You will now see odds listed from a variety of licensed sportsbooks in your region for each of the Big 6 leagues (NFL, NCAAF, NBA, NCAAB, MLB, NHL). That selection will continue to be built out further as more states & provinces open for legalized betting.

As part of this migration, the Classic View of SBR Odds is no longer able to be supported. While we understand this is tough news for a lot of long-term members, the reality is that it is not feasible to continue running two different odds platforms. The results of the odds survey we conducted back in the spring were influential in this process to ensure any ‘must have’ features were not removed.

Please keep in mind that this is the initial launch of the rebuilt odds project and by no means the finished product in terms of user experience, functionality, and handicapping features. The main goal of this was to stabilize the odds pages and establish a sound foundation that we can build upon to provide a great experience for the sports bettor.

As such, there were certain features that were outside of the scope of the initial launch and are currently not included:

    - Live play-by-play data

    - Recent line move highlighting

    - Bet Card/Bet Tracker

    - Personalization settings

    - Spreads & Totals combo view option

This does not mean those features are gone for good. Additional features will be layered in with future releases (especially the personalization) and member feedback will help drive these decisions. This is ultimately a situation that required taking one step back before we can take two steps forward. However, the flexibility that this new odds foundation will provide us going forward will prove to be leaps and bounds better.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions/comments/feedback - we will be happy to address them.

Obviously I, and other posters miss having offshore odds listed. Aside from that it looks pretty good imo.

I would suggest adding as many sportsbooks across as many states as possible, including some of the same books in different locations. It's good to see that the personalization settings are looking to come back in the future. While I was not a big user, I can see how that could help some users narrow down the books they want to use.

But you need a large selection of books to narrow down from and I suggest you start building relationships and expand those columns and increase the value of logging in to the user.

On the odds side, highlighting changes should be a priority. Spread and Total combos can be very convenient and should be added in as well.

But a major use of the SBR odds page can be as a scoreboard and many like that play by play data. I think it should be an option that could be toggled to "off" in order to condense and make page just odds and scores, like it is now.

Sorry to see classic odds go, I truly am.

I will forever miss that "beep" going off throughout the house when SBR reported a move, even if there was a small delay on that reporting. Saturday mornings were so much fun with that and even my kids got into it when they were younger.

Good Luck with further development on the odds page guys.

    Sad to see-

Classic View of SBR Odds is no longer able to be supported. Welcome to forever scrolling.

Spreads & Totals combo view option---
The MoneyLine/Total odds on the same game, same page, no longer available.

Luckily there are better options still available on the web.

    (1) Having the historical data you used to provide is extremely useful. It would be great if we could get past seasons.

    (2) Would appreciate it if you would bring back BET365 lines.

    Thanks.

Bet365 is an arrow that should be in everyone's quiver.
They pay when an MLB team gets a 5 run lead...i.e. Braves, Tigers, Texas Rangers today.

Nice milestone after a lot of back ground work.

A lot more upgrades to come as it develops into the promised best odds comparison tool available.

I believe there is no intentional delay above system resource and coding considerations.

Andy mentioned in his post that live play-by-play data is not enabled as yet but I think you can expect to see it as updates roll out

No use beating a dead horse Brock.

There will be an increasing number of people who end up pretty much locked into their state options over time. Having a grid with every book available to them and fast updates will be very useful to some people.

I also hope to see some international licensed sites like 5Dimes or Pinny on there too for comparison eventually too though.

It looks like controlled demolition of offshore markets in US. SBR odds page was flagship product of SBR. Now, it is a shadow of its former self.

The date range on the calendar was reduced in effort to limit the amount of data having to load. However, past games can still be accessed by changing the date in the URL.

For Bet365 - you may see it on the list if they are operating in your region. Otherwise, it will only be licensed sportsbooks in the area.

It could be useful to allow people to self select multiple states?

Especially for those close to state borders.

I know most liked the classic odds as you could see several games on one screen vs only being able to see 1 or 2 games at a time without having to scroll up and down on mobile. TV.

Fyi if you go on your mobile browser and click "desktop version" that will make it a little bit closer to classic odds. You can see 5 to 8 games depending how much you zoom in.

Now all we need is play by play. And I hope that the play by play is as quick as the old classic to update. It was literally pretty instantaneous while watching a game on tv.

I know I'm beating a dead horse and offshore odds aren't happening, but as opti suggested, I hope you will at least add pinny and 5dimes for all to see, as those are 2 big ones people follow when looking at lines and line movement.

Welp, I live in Texas, so none of these books are legal here. I would be curious to know how you choose what sites to show to those of us locked out entirely.
